I have to say it's really impressive to get commentary out in poetic form.

Also, I feel I really missed out on a great game with Animal Crossing.

EDIT: Oct 06, 2013

New Leaf's pretty damn cool.

Jim wins. No ifs ands or buts. Yahtzee's limerick was good, describing the tortured development of thief(4???). but jim's poem reminded me of this [http://lparchive.org/Animal-Crossing/Update%201/] and i have to give it to him.

yahtzee - 2
Jim - 3.5
Was going to post that exact link. That LP was a trip.

Yahtzee nailed it. Exactly what i thought about the new Thief game it is a shame really.
I don't understand how anyone can judge it so quickly, if there are not even ingame scenes revealed.
Even with some cutscenes and whatnot this game could still become great.
It's not like thay said: "Oh, wer're going to casualize the shit out of this game!"

I sat down to pass the time while
Some dude spoke of Thief with increasing bile
I realized with a grin
What had taken me in
Yahtzee'd been disguised by his smile.

Thank you Yahtzee for reminding me about the game formerly called Thief 4
I remember my enthusiasm for this game long before it hit the floor
I remember all the great directions and paths it could take
but now all I remember is the disappointment I feel in it's wake

Now it seems that all good stealth games are dead.
Splinter Cell, once a proud stealther, is now about spraying lead
Let's not forget Hitman, a game of an assassin and his tricks
Now about pre-scripted events, and questioning his own ethics
Or how about Assassin's Creed, once about using speed to remain concealed
Now about rushing an entire British legion in a big open field

It seems all the games I used to enjoy are gone
Maybe stealth as a whole simply won't live on
I really should just stop complaining, making these futile claims
Because at least stealth is not as dead as horror games

Nook is the best antagonist in gaming because you CAN'T fight him... he owns you.

Yahtzee hits it out of the park once more
In his scathing review of Thief 4
Yet Jim called out the real estate crook
That goes by the name of Tom Nook
Neither will be what you wish
So why don't you go catch some more fish?

I'm liking this series more and more.

I'm also trying to remain cautiously optimistic about Thief 4, at least until they show actual gameplay footage. The fact that the trailer was made up of sneaking and burglary and not sword fights and explosions was enough for me to give it a chance. And if it sucks, the fact that it's a "reboot" means it won't retroactively ruin the continuity of other games.

The comments need to pick up the pace on this series.
It's one of those things where I never really know what to say. I like them, but I don't tend to like posting just for the sake of showing approval, as it doesn't add anything to a discussion.

The rhyming was really solid this week though, sometimes before they have been a little off. I have absolutely no idea what game Jim was talking about though, so time to head to google.

EDIT: Apparently an N64 game, which I guess explains it. I never owned one.

I like how you guys think this is a competition. -_-'

Well, not it isn't.
Both Jim and yahtzee collaborate to make these.
So yeah ... this really isn't a competition.

Other then that this week's topics were nice.
Thief 4/Reboot by Yahtzee bought forward some details I didn't know about this reboot (Since i don't really care for the Thief series).
And I loved Jim's about a second in.

Though ... let's just say by the last time I played Animal Crossing (Yes he was talking about about) on the DS I owned a fully upgraded house paid off and fully furnished.
So Tom Nook was bleeding money out through his arse.

Excellent rhymes-manship there! Yahtzee's poem was the better of the two because of his enthusiasm and passion for his subject.

They're both doing fantastic, but I just adored Yahtzee's delivery. I hope this series keeps going. Thanks!
