It?s a new theory. [https://uproxx.com/movies/john-wick-video-game-world-fan-theory/]

Now as intriguing as that may sound, who could handle turning this franchise into a game series with mechanics, tone and production values that do it justice? Yeah there?s the Max Payne series which is incredibly similar, but I think there would be so much to explore from a gameplay perspective; especially combining melee with gunfighting. Using environmental objects as weapons has also been done quite a few times, but it?s never really felt much better than gimmicky.

Would love to see this curated into being an action game that defines a generation.

There's already John Wick Hex. It definitely catches the choreography of the movies, but whether it feels like John Wick depends on your relation to isometric games.

Both this and H E X mentioned above seem to pretty 'meh' though.

Max Payne utilizes different sort of gunplay than John Wick is known from imho. More gun diving, less tacticool elimination.
SuperHOT seems to be "wicked"(sorry) enough, but i'm sure there are games i miss here.

Ah, they already did it.

No, it's called Splinter Cell Conviction.
That's 'Jason Bourne' The Game

Rocksteady. The Arkham formula is the type O blood-type of the gaming industry; compatible with damn near everything when executed correctly.

This.
Superhot & Superhot VR
Max Payne
John Woo's Stranglehold
Vanquish
Wanted: Weapons of Fate
Hotline Miami
Hong Kong Massacre

I don't mind having a John Wick game that is non VR or non isometric.

Better than the official Jason Bourne game. I've also seen splinter cell conviction compared to the first Taken movie. Both did come out the same year, obviously Taken came out first. If you compared the plots of both they are eerily similar.

I haven't played it but this video goes over the game somewhat. Essentially, it's awesome when it works, but it doesn't always work and then it tends to fall apart.

It's about 12 min and work a watch if you're interested.

I do enjoy Writing on Games, along with Superbunnyhop who both tend to cover gaems along the same lines.

I've played the game and my opinion is similar. When you get the flow going and can get it all to work you can capture the feeling of the movies, but then other times it just ends up being weird jitter stepping to block LoS and the whole game just feels weird and awkward.

I mean we already have the Just Cause, Space Marine, God of War and Halo series. They're about super human demigods destroying entire nations
