So, this is just a thought I had. Why is Part 3's Japanese protagonist Jotaro Kujo, a rebellious delinquent who is shown to be disrespectful even to his own grandfather, apparently just as attached (if not moreso; the guy even manages to get an identical replacement in Pakistan) to his school uniform (including that fucking cap) as the comparatively politer, Araki self-proclaimed 'honours student' Noriaki Kakyoin?

Or am I just thinking too much about this and it's just Araki's little jokey explanation of having his characters wear consistently identifiable outfits?

I'm just assume he really loved that uniform (in saying so Kakyoin still wearing his throughout the trip) or that he is maintaining that image he got of an badass school kid.

Edit- Ok I've watched the first episode of the new season and yeah, the intro and outro were lackluster althought I get what they were getting at (intro sound similar to those olde anime intro of the 80's and the outro has an Eastern theme to it).

Really? Ah darn, one of my favorite things about the series is how damn well done the OPs and EDs are. Meh, just happy its back on again, supposedly some serious crap hits the fan in this arc, can't wait to see how it goes down. (Can obviously see I don't read the manga hahaha, got to get to that some day...)

Anyway, also just kinda assumed its to keep the badass school kid image of his.

Well don't let me colour your opinion before you actually see the episode, but the tone of the songs used in both the OP and ED are too muted for what is supposed to be the climax portion of the story.

And yes, some of the most iconic and awesome moments in the series take place in the latter portion of this half of the anime.

I personally found the ending to fit the bittersweet tone of this arc, you have the characters consistently fighting so seeing them relax is a pretty damn comforting sight

Well Jotaro may have been a delinquent buy he stll went to school, hence the uniform :p And I think he secretly likes to wear it/doesn't have anything else to wear (I know I didn't when I went to a private highscool)

And as to the opening and ending themes, I like the clock motif going on but the songs were really... meh. One of the best things about the show was the songs got you hype for the episode. They were really high energy and great so im not feeling the new ones this time around. Same thing recently happened to Cross Ange. It went from high energy intro to super melancholic.

Why are all my shows going super cereal on me ;_;

I get what they were going for, but I just think the song itself is bad and that DP clearly don't have strong grasp on how to animate an ED around it.

I think it came off...once.

The opening is decent, but I think people are gonna frown on it because it doesn't measure up the first three. EDIT: Then again with the exception of the first, I started off not liking any of the intros, but slowly came to enjoy them. Listening to the new one over and over again and I'm already starting to like it more.

The ending I think is actually pretty good, espically considering the last one was just really boring to me.

One thing I hope they keep doing with the openings is showing all the past main characters. It's just really cool and keeps reminding us of just how much has gone on in this series.

The first half of the opening was cool and then it gets too on the nose once they start yelling Star Platinum and ORAORAORA! The ED is still meh for me, but maybe I'll get used to it. Considering the lack of a strong presence from DIO, I want to believe that they have a special opening saved specifically for his fight.
