So what movies or games had such an amazing ending that it sent shivers down your spine. Simple enough.
Mine would be at the end of "I Am Legend". Shivers everywhere.

The ending of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future was the closest I've ever gotten to crying at the end of a video game. Next was Metal Gear Solid 3. I got shivers whenever I thought about either of them. I still do. Especially when I hear the theme songs for either game.

Yeah, that game gets credit as the first handheld game to make me cry. The end of the romantic sub-plot? Damn!

Movie? The Dark Knight, of course. Best movie ever.

Well, I haven't watched many films lately, so there's probably a lot of other more amazing films I've seen, but I'm going to say Blood Diamond.

It was good to see that Danny decided not to be a dick, as he did so much through the rest of the movie...it was horrible really, just as I started to like him, he turned around and did something to remind me that he wasn't the good guy.

I was not expecting them to end it the way they did... it was almost as brutal as a Pixar movie.

It was way more brutal than I expected from a game like that. I don't want to give anything away, so spoiler box time.

How many people died from that giant robot attack? Wasn't this the first Layton game where someone actually died? They were just random people, but still! Unwound future really earned that 10+.

The ending to BRAVE STORY (the movie) actually made me cry a little bit. It was so touching, and the original book has SUCH a good message. :D

The ending to the Omen kinda creeped me out, as well as the trailer to the Cottage.

Hate kids singing...
Ooooh, the guy who directed The Cottage (Paul Andrew Williams) is coming to my university to give a talk soon, I'm treasurer of the film-making society at Leeds Uni and my flatmate/club secretary did some work with him on a comedy pilot over the summer. She's sarranged for the guy to come to Leeds to do a talk, and we'll be showing one of his other films (London To Brighton) beforehand.

Not really an important thing to say, just felt like mentioning it as a matter of interest :p.

Anyway, back on topic. Will Smith's film Seven Pounds is the first film I thought of when I saw this thread. It's also the only film so far to have made me close to tears, the emotion in that film is just overwhelming. Really affected me near the end, more than anything else I've ever seen...

Other than the Baron and his wife from the first game who, if I remember correctly, died of natural causes, I think this is the only time anyone has actually died and stayed dead. In fact, a lot of people were killed in this game.

Lost in Translation anybody?

In my book, one of the most unforgettable ending shots ever, along with Citizen Kane, La Strada and all the rest.

Many of the space battle/really dramatic drama scense in Battlestar Galactica.

Especially the Assault on the Colony in the finale, more so when coupled with the soundtrack.

Hell, the song alone gives me shivers.

The Speech at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Lord of the Rings gives me shivers during the battles.
Starcraft II gave me shivers when Raynor did his cheesy speech.
Lot's of videos on Youtube give me shivers.

I thought it was called 'chills?'

Black Hawk Down, in it's way. Fight Club. My Sister's Keeper. Gran Torino because of the epic ending.

Requiem For A Dream

That's some deep stuff.
I'd have to say this. Saw the unrated version (The only version?) about a month ago. That was insane.
