I never saw Avatar's look as anime at all.

OT: Gotta be interesting to compare it with his original work and biography (beyond being made much better looking in the cartoon than in reality or the real Marx not having such good handwriting); and call out the Chinese propaganda that will be unavoidably inserted in it.

I was gonna pop in to say that it'll probably look ... not great since Chinese animation is quite a ways behind Korea and Japan. A lot of the works you see on Chinese television still kind of look like they were done in Flash, and lo and behold those previews did not disappoint.
