Also, there was something refreshingly innocent about it all. Especially the segment with the woman and the little kid.
Yes, that was my favorite part. It's a touching moment that's been immortalized. I wonder if that child is still alive, and if he even remembers that he was filmed like that.

Anyone else like it? It's an amazing piece of film.
(Sorry for double posting, I just want people to see the video)

Wow, the quality is actually surprisingly good considering the time period. The fact that they managed any color at all at the time is quite impressive to be honest. Also, the music adds a lot to the film, although it's not really supposed to be emotional really, it's more like a tech demo.

Holy crap that was amazing and compared to some of the monstrosities you saw in the 60's or so, (You know, the ones where they were trying just a bit too hard to cram as much colour as possible in), just 'real' I suppose would be the best description.

Thanks for finding and drawing attention.

Holy crap, that quality is far better than I would have expected for 1922, particularly the vividness of the colours.
Yeah, it's amazing, especially considering this was 13 years before the first full-length motion picture in color.

This seems kind of stupid, but since you only see black and white photos and movies from that era, I kind of forgot they lived in color. It takes this kind of movie to make me realize they had favorite colors and looked at the sunset and saw all of the colors.
my exact thought exactly, now i see why would someone wear those kind of clothes, they are beautifull and reach in color and texture, something you cant quite grasp from black and white movies (or post painted pictures)

incredibly amazing how they still seemed to had makeup in the sense of white and black movies...

That was pretty interesting, I usually don't have any problems envisioning the past but it was still cool to see how nice the colors looked in an 88 year old piece of film.
