I'd play Silent Hill 2, but I'm too afraid of ruining my life for the worse, though Zone of the Enders 2 is the one that I'm most intruiged about. Hope to find a copy of that soon.
Oddly enough, I've got all the MGSes, and I have ZOE:2nd, but no Silent Hill games. May well pick them up if I spy them, but my local independent went bust a few years back. All I have access to are GAME and GameStation, so I guess I'm unlikely to be seeing them.

anyway, as awesome as this sounds, its probably cheaper to just get em off ebay or craigslist or something. hell i know snake eater only goes for around $10-15 and the silent hills go for a bit less. would be better to port them over to psn or xbla or something. still though, at least konami is listening to what gamers want, theyve always been a good company in that way, that and the fact that the pc ports of their games are GOOD ports which is more than one can say for most of their competitors.
Well I have had a disc drive go on my 1st gen 60GB, my last 80GB had over heated, and my current one had some issues but thankfuly all it needed was a system restore. Anyway not sure if I'm gonna pick up the silent hill games, maybe if I see them. And I already bought the essential colection of MGS so nothing of to improtance to me on this list.Simalacrum said:

.In general I never did buy a copy of Silent Hill 2 because when the game was being developed they gave in to censorship pressure. Apparently when the demo was released it was strongly suggested that the tone down all of the skinless killer children bashing. They did this, and nowadays I notice that you don't even see the Silent Hill 1 killer children as part of the regular bestiary (and frankly the beginning of SH 1 was arguably the freakiest moment in the series)
I have however played it elsewhere, and probably would like to play it at some point especially if they were to release a director's cut, closer to the original vision before giving in to censors.
As far as the re-issue goes, I will also say that I have mixed opinions. I have an original issue PS-3 which can play PS-2 games. Sadly I traded in my PS-2 when I picked this up, and have been afraid the PS-3 will one day break (though it seems to be going strong).
Truthfully I'd much rather see them release the games via the PSN store for digital download so that way I could just DL them again later. Of course part of this would also be me expecting them to release the games for $5-$10 due to a lack of shipping or packaging being involved. Lowering prices being the entire point of DLC.

I enjoy the sentiment but ultimately find this unnecessary.
I saw the headline and thought this meant they were going to re-released via XBL or PSN. I think I'd like to delve back into the Silent Hill world, but not via Physical media.
