Korean Ratings Board Reveals Limbo For PS3

Whoops! The Korean Game Ratings Board just listed that Sony had submitted Limbo for a rating.

Last summer, Limbo was pretty much <a href=http://ims.themis-media.com/module/96/ims_news/add_news>our favorite game to hit XBLA. Even though it's a beautiful and haunting title, it was confirmed that there were no plans to bring the title to other platforms. Now, however, that looks like it's changing.

The Korean Games Ratings Board has just listed Limbo, showing that the game was filed by Sony Computer Entertainment Korea. This isn't the first time that the KGRB has outed games before they were officially announced: In the past, the group has also revealed the existince of titles like Fruit Ninja Kinect and Sega Rally Online Arcade.

Playdead, Limbo's developer, hasn't made an official announcement yet, which isn't too surprising. However, this news shouldn't come as too much of a shock, seeing as how Limbo was an exclusive for last year's Xbox Live Summer of Arcade event and the exclusivity is probably about to expire.

Kick fucking ass! I've seen alot of this game and I was hoping it would come to PSN. I'll be Down Under for five months and my PS3 will be back in Georgia, but I'm defenitely getting this and playing it along with all the other great games I'll have to catch up on when I return. Life is good sometimes. Now if only Shadow Complex would come to PSN, then I'd be over the moon in ecstacy

YEAH!

I loved Limbo on the xbox 360, and I would love to see it brought to PS3

perhaps this could lead to more awesome titles in the future.

Played it on my 360. Great game, I'm glad PS3 owners get a piece.

Although in my opinion, it does lose steam around 2 thirds of the way through, and loses a lot of the atmosphere, to be replaced by too many physics puzzles.

So they're bringing a short game with little replay value and no real story to another system? Wonderful. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the game. While it was a lot of fun for one or two run-throughs, it wasn't worth the $10 or $15 it costs. Especially since, once you know the answers to the puzzles, it only takes about an hour to play through.

Whoa, seriously? Sweet, this was a helping factor in seeing if a 360 was worth the cost. If it comes to the PS3, there's yet less incentive to spend the extra cash. If a few others cease being exclusive, I'll have saved quite a bit of money. Go Me!

Sweet. Now I can get LIMBO and Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on my PS3.

Can I get MNC soon, too?

Good, the more people who get to experience it, the better.

Just don't come crying to me when your dreams become haunted by that damn spider.

Might wanna fix that.

Limbo was pretty interesting. Good that it's reaching a wider audience, I'd like to see more of the studio's work in the future.

SHIIIIIIIIT YEAH!

god, i wouldnt have spoiled half of the nastier deaths for myself if i had known! oh well, as they say, it's better to have lived and loved and lost than to have never played a game for yourself instead of simply watching it on Youtube. Or something.

however,

contradictions arise. So I will try to check my enthusiasm, but it will be difficult.

That's awesome news! :D

But seriously, no release for PC? <.<

It's certainly coming to Steam. It'll be idiocy not to sell there, seeing how Super Meatboy's PC version <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/108134-Super-Meat-Boy-on-PC-Outsells-Xbox-360>outsold the XBLA release in just two weeks.

It's kinda sad that PS3 owners have to get the left-overs from last year while Xbox users get completely new games for the arcade this year.

Well they should be thankful for even getting Limbo. There are many good exclusive games which are left as exclusive. The lesser of two evils in my opinion.
