Hmm. I wonder what would happen if Bobby Kotick died today. For any reason, be it natural, murder, accidental, suicide...etc.
And they kept it out of the presses until the following day.

What would people do I wonder? What would Activision do?
Who would become the Pariah for all of the gaming industry's greedy executives, let alone Activision?

Because right now, Kotick isn't doing shit for his company except generating bad press.

Kotick does for the Games Industry what "Dubya" did for World Peace, what Gordon Brown did for the UK Economy, what Bernard Manning did for Mothers in Law, what BP did for Oil.
Brown did a lot for the economy he inherited a breaking one, Kotick is no saint but he may be the man that saves the games from the 2Nd amendment ruling

Lets see if Reach outselling Black Ops by millions of copys will shut him up.
It might outsell black op on the 360, but black ops launches for PC and PS3 as well, so by catering to a much larger group of potential costumers (360 users + PS3 users + pc users > 360 users) Black ops have the better odds, when it comes to number of units sold, If you ask me.

Still, that doesn't make Kotic more appealing in any way.

While the man whom owns the company is a greedy bastard whom uses the Gaming Industry as his own little personal money pedestal pile, and has the ego the size of Jupiter to match.

We don't do this for no reasons, mate.
I just wish everyone would realize that he's no different from most CEOs out there. He just likes to talk.

He wasn't talking about him or even his company Bungie signed to Activision because Blizzard has our backs is hardly an arrogant statement, sure they could have gone anywhere but nothing really compares to having the support of the largest publisher that also shares the stock market with the worlds most succesfull game developer that even Gabe Newell is envious of the level of customer service they offer to the world of warcraft customer
Oddly enough as a longtime explayer, I always found Blizzard's customer service to be extremely poor especially in game. Fact is most MMO developers offers the same services, they might not hire as many support staff but their games are also smaller in market share.

The best customer service I've ever seen in MMO history was Norwegian developer's Anarchy Online, but they actually used a system that involved players serving as volunteer junior GMs (or GM secretaries). They did tasks like helping new players by just hanging out in the newbie zone answering questions, review you in case you needed some restore, hands on bug reporting (sure we can all report bugs but not every knows how to write a proper bug report), etc. This actually resulted in GMs being able to expediently resolve issues.

Unfortunately, Black Ops will sell just as good on 360 as Reach. Let's not forget we we live in a media-fickle society, by the time Black Ops launches Reach will be old news.

Looks like Kotick is off his pills. There has been a lot of crazy pouring out of his mouth lately. Activision was probaly one the companies but not the only one.

It's funny, how poorly this man portrays himself in public. He heads a company that basically prints it's own money, and whenever he's put into a public venue the stream of verbal diarrhea is endless. Aren't these corporations suppose to have PR people? I guess it could be an overconfidence thing.

Anyway, it'd be interesting to see if Blizzard's unannounced MMO was something similar to what Bungie wanted to push out.

Clearly the studio that made one of the best selling franchises ever only had one choice of publisher.

Shut the hell up Kotick ¬_¬
I know right? Bungie has been so successful it's sickening, and he acts like if they didn't choose Activision, they'd all be homeless now.

But a fully realized FPSMMO? Yes please!

A game company that has just been remaking the same game for the past... erm... I dunno how many years only had the choice to go to Activision, which seems to be really good at that too? Sounds, erm... understandable?

Oh, and with Blizzard, Activision, and Bungie all in one place now, my hate is less spread out... only thing now is possibly BioWare...

*goes back to wondering how long it will take before we get the generic overrated FPS game that looks like WoW and has a subscription fee to play*

He just called the entire games industry, AND BUNGIE ITSELF DEFICIENT at providing "great, competitive products"

It surprises you that people are pissed?

Yeah, fuck off, Kotick. You've already proven yourself to be arrogant, no need to take that out of proportion.

Bungie have far more integrity than Activision could ever dream about.
