Lan games.

Well me and some friends are going to lan next week and we need some games to play, we all got mw2 and going to play that for a while but it's a bit dull after a while imo. So what we are searching for is FPS, RPG, TPS games (would be nice with co-op). Some examples that we like is mw2,Gow,Demigod,wc3,dow,l4d, dark messiah, starcraft (can add more if needed).

My friends and I have PC LAN parties all the time, and here are our favourites. Halo CE, which has some wicked modded maps, Empire Earth, which can be incredibly fun and take a long time, and occasionally Star Trek Bridge commander, which is like a flight combat sim thing but in space with star trek ships.

Edit: And oh yeah, all of us have REALLY been meaning to try Sins of a Solar Empire for a while.

How many of you? if there are lots then I would say TF2 or a CS:S, but if there are less then look at Age of Empires or Starcraft.

Aint sure yet but anything from 4-8 people sadly tho not many of my friends fancy cs which imo is a great game for lan. Ye starcraft is quite funny during lan (forgot to add it)

Warcraft 3. Download some mods from online, and you'll have almost infinite fun.

Thanks, definitely going to try those. Is halo actually fun on pc? (no offence, just have never played it on comp)

For 360 Halo 3 is definitely one of the most fun games to play with system link. I've had plenty of gerat moments playing Halo 1 and 2 on the original Xbox at LAN parties, and Halo 3 is no exception.

Ok, I actually prefer halo 1 during lan. I like the pistol & sniper combo on it but we will cheak it out, thanks.

Sins Of A Solar empire is damn good, as is Diablo 2 and Borderlands. Company Of Heroes and World In Conflict are good too.

I second the call for World in Conflict, definitely a fun game on LAN.

Completely unrelated to the topic at hand, how well does Sins run for you? I keep hearing things about framerate issues.

EDIT: Forgot to add, Civilization 4 is great fun on the LAN.

It's essentially the spiritual successor to Diablo, you frolic along a linear map killing all sorts Greek mythological creatures. There are 8 different classes and a pretty decent loot system, essentially the same system as Borderlands.

I have had some of the best games on the Xbox playing Halo with friends over a lan. The more the merryier.
