Largest scale battle I've ever won was in real life, actually. Patong, Thailand, 2006.

It was Thai new year. Of course, they tend to celebrate this by having every single person in the region pick up a watergun, take to the streets and start blasting eachother.

Thailand happens to be a popular tourist destination for Australians; Needless to say, they were out in force. And they were teaming up. We (Me, my father, a sports centre owner and his two sons, and a taxi driver, all British) were sitting outside a café just after dusk when the aforementioned warband came into sight at the end of the street. Many of them, it seemed, had taken to pouring red dye into their water tanks. We thought they'd pass by us, but we were wrong; what could have easily been twenty of them turned towards the cafe and opened fire. Or, er... Opened water.

We barely had time to grab the waterguns that had been lazily resting against the legs of the table before we were diving for cover, trying to avoid the streams of red-coloured water already soaking the front of the café.

I managed to get behind a low wall, while most of the others opted for ducking behind large potted plants or hiding behind pillars. We returned fire quickly, careful not to expose ourselves for two long, until they gave up and returned to the horde making its way down the main street and slowly spreading out. Finishing our drinks as quick as we could, we made a mad dash across the street and realised that it was a hell of a long walk back to the hotel we were all staying in.

I think the rest pretty much speaks for itself in an almost Left4Dead-esque manner. It was definitely one of the more interesting holidays I've taken.

If we're going into videogame related battles only, then they'd have to mostly lie with Arma 2 or Empire Total War.

Countless times in Age of Empires 3 I have hid in my town barely holding off my attackers until I reach the imperial age and steamroll over their town in one fatal drive :) Good times, good times...

In Battle for Middle Earth 2 online, me and this kid did nothing but build up are cities and prepare for invading each other. Then after about 2 hours we did

It was fucken epic. There was so much happening
Were the two of you talking to each other and agreed on just building cities and a lot of troops or did it just happen?

Rome: Total War.

Had a seriously overpopulated and underdefended city in Sicily, on the verge of revolt. Demolished the barracks, stables, etc. and pulled out the garrison of 216 cataphracts; promptly sent them back in and slaughtered 4000 revolting peasants, down to the last man, with around 150 losses. And exterminated 40,000 citizens when I retook the city.

Basically every battle and siege in Mount and Blade

I had some pretty epic last stands though.I was basically hostile to everyone but the green guys and got ambushed by about 2000 guys(I say ambushed but i was sorta in besieging a city).

So i take to the filed with about 100 elite units and 6 heroes and we kick some ass.It was actually the first time my horse died while in a battle;( His name was Canthrop. So I then got my ass handed to me my companions ditched me,the lords who I had knocked unconcienss in the battle took EVERYTHING I owned.

And so began an epic tale of revenge of finding those friends who'd ditched me and absoulty destroying those a-holes who took all the things I'd worked for.It ended with new emperoers on almost every throne and me about to start my campagian on the nords.

But then I got bored and just played COD :D

It was the last mission in Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. I had already beaten the mission using the Tiberium Bomb, but I wanted to see if there was an alternate ending. I built up my base from the ground up and defeated both the Scrid and Nod, it took maybe 45min to an hour. I won. As it turns out, there was no alternate ending.

Age of Empires 2: Was playing against my dad over LAN, he destroyed all of my buildings except 2 castles, I had enough resources to make a few trebuchets and rush his town centers before he managed to find my castles.

Mount and Blade (with Sword of Damocles mod): Fought a defense for a Suno, owned about 400 enemies with fairly low level recruits by using strategy and crossbows :D
