Well, yeah... Microsoft's current influence over PC gaming makes their predictions on the future of PC gaming as valid as the crazy guy on the street corner shouting at the traffic that the CIA have uploaded Angry Birds to his tracking chip.thatstheguy said:I don't see how anyone can be afraid that the future might turn out like that. Knowing Microsoft's threshold in PC gaming as it is anyway.
Very nice job there.More Fun To Compute said:O wonder!
How many goodly downloadable content are there here! How beauteous the interface is! O brave new world! That has such stupid avatars in it!
That's what Steam Support and Proof of Purchases are for.CJ1145 said:I do everything they ask me to do to get my orders in, and to date I've been screwed out of $100 by them. Orders went through fine, but it still won't let me install the game and demands that I purchase a second copy to play. I had a similar problem when I bought Dawn of War II, which only worked through Steam, but it wanted me to buy an online copy to actually play it.MorphingDragon said:Goddamn breeze for me.
You must be doing it wrong.
Usually works well for me.CJ1145 said:I assume you've never had to buy a game off of Steam then? It's a goddamn nightmare.AmrasCalmacil said:Thank god for Steam.
The only thing I never feel like criticising Valve over.
this isnt a strategy meant for you, not directly at least. but if you want to see pc gaming continue on it would be in your best interest to support Microsoft in this endeavor. There are more pc in peoples homes then the wii, xbox and ps3 combined and Microsoft is finally taking some initiative and using its fan base properly. there will still be steam for the "hardcore" gamers, but this is the platform that will hold pc gaming up. who knows today's bejeweled player could be tomorrows minecraft...erm crafter that could end up being the spy that just saved your ass for the third time in team fortress 2. every gamer has to start somewhere.Andy Chalk said:I don't even know what to say here. Maybe I'm being overly harsh, or maybe I'm bitter because I'm feeling left out, but if this is what Microsoft means when it talks about taking the PC seriously as a gaming platform, I think I'll just go back to watching television.
