These people are too:

One of them came close to becoming your President.
Seriously, what does that have to with anything?
Evilbunny said "This is one of the many reasons I'm proud to be an American." I pointed out that there are Americans out there who would be more than happy to start censoring 'violent' video games and that - as I said - one such person almost came close to leading your entire country.

That's what it has to do with. I would have thought that was blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain. It wasn't exactly rocket surgery.
Sorry but tell me where you "pointed out that there are Americans out there who would be more than happy to start censoring 'violent' video games".
You lost all credibility to me when you claimed your post wasn't "Rocket surgery", which I am sure you will claim was just a joke.
Pointed out was the wrong term. "Heavily implied" would have been better. My bad. I thought when I put Jack Thompson in there it would have been pretty clear what my meaning was.

And yeah, rocket surgery was a bit of a joke. [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rocket%20surgery]

How do you "Heavily Imply" something by saying "These people are (proud to be Americans) too".
And how was I supposed to know that was Jack Thompson was? I never kept up with all that hate towards him

Well let's see. In America legislation gets proposed and often gets shot down by the people via massive letter-writing (I'm serious, somehow it actually works for once). Even legislation that does pass usually ends up overturned within a year of loud consternation and uproar, because nobody wants to lose their constituents.

In Australia Michael Atkinson and 3 people who think Australian citizens are dumb as toast have managed to consistently censor or block a good percentage of R18-level games and still will not institute such a rating.

Could somebody please help me out here, because I really don't know, and explain to me how it is that the common Australian gamer has been unable to force a change here? I mean granted I don't think this is an issue worthy of a "Million Gamer March" but something has to be done.

Someone on here had a good point.
Just dont attempt to release the game in Australia at all, then most Australian gamers will import the game anyway. What the censors dont know about cant be labelled illegal material.

It dawned on me recently that Micheal Atkinson actually agrees with the majority of Australian gamers on how inconsistant the classification board is.At least we can all agree on one point at least.

Board. I. Hate. You. You inconsistent blinded "crusaders". Do they really expect me to go out and kill people now. (Note, not question, I know they do.) I think I'm off to send hatemail now. And the first one's going at Atkinson... I would usually rant about this, but this is the last straw and I'll probably end up breaking my laptop... And I need it to hatemail.
