Left 4 Dead 2 kicking issues... -_-

This has evidently been a problem for other players as well

I absolutely love this game by heart and think it's one of the funnest games I've EVER played, but my god, the kicking system in this game is so broken. I literally can NOT join a single game anymore without getting kicked (sometimes immediately when joining).

Like seriously, what in the hell is wrong with the players? This occurs in versus a lot, and half the time, I'll join, then i'll actually do quite well (meaning i'll actually HELP the team, or HELP the team reel in survivors on the infected side and work up combos and what not), then they'll proceed to kick me and they'll typically win! It's so damn frustrating because I like to actually HELP the team out when in need and I like giving them a hand.

Why do these s***head players just kick random people, like myself? What gives? Anyone else a victim to this as well?

And if it's because of "not having your mic on", then that's a terrible, pretty lame-a** excuse. I've been in PLENTY of games with people who aren't chatting and we do just fine

You're not alone there; I've noticed that in most quick matches I join. It really makes you wonder why they don't just make their game for friends only. Is it just me, or are more of these situations coming up in L4D2 as of late?

Left 4 dead has a hard ass community. for no reason.

I was kicked by a butt hurt player because I killed him. The horror, right? He was running ahead, alone, and I pounded him into the pavement with a tank. His team was half a map away, so I had to sit there and beat up on him. He got butt hurt and initiated a kick.

I was kicked, and the tank was gone. Tanks do not transfer when a player is kicked. An exploit.

I accidentally startled a witch, it was immediately killed with a shotgun blast. No one died or got hurt. Immediately kicked.

I played too good one time as a smoker, dragged a guy off a roof into a horde. Kicked.

A guy was lagging behind slowly, not shooting any zombies, and looking around the level slowly. I had to protect this dumb ass who didn't want to shoot in a shooting game. Once he got to the safe house he kicked me.

See the pattern? Not much teamwork in a teamwork game. A single inconvenience or a single entitled player is enough to get you kicked.

And there are plenty of entitled players. If you're better or worse than them, they kick you.

Agreed completely with everything you said

I really wish this game had a better kicking system

And I really hate being idle for about 10 seconds and they already want to kick you -_-

They need to add a mute button as well; I have to go into the console and use commands to find the relevant howler or spammer to mute. My deepest sympathies go out to every player who doesn't know how to stop the agony.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but have perhaps been lucky in that I've never been kicked or had issues playing with randoms online. I'm sorry to hear you're having these issues. I can only imagine it's very bad luck to only find wankers online.

If you'd be interested, I'd love more people with whom to enjoy games like L4D2 which are much more fun with a) humans and b) humans I know, at least better than complete randoms. I'm "KingsGambit [http://steamcommunity.com/id/kingsgambit/]" on Steam and would welcome a friend request and/or game invite and I assure you there won't be any kicking. As such, considering you and I would make up 50% of the players, this issue won't exist and one of us can "manage" the games too. I've thought for a while it would be good to game with some Escapists and L4D2 is as good a place to start as any.
