...Now if only I actually USED the Wii-mote. I touch it to get into the games, and aside from Cursed Mountain only use the Classic Controller Pro or Gamecube controller, depending on the game. *shrugs* Now if they made one for the CCP, that would be different...

That's actually pretty badass. Makes me want to dig out my tub of old LEGO bricks.

That makes me think. Anyone feel up to connecting this remote to a Mindstorms NXT system? The Wiimote can communicate with Lego NXT via Bluetooth and LabVIEW [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBqw3Y1XcZg], NXT is fairly dexterous [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFQtyna58Kg], and can run reasonably complex programs... if it can solve a Rubik's Cube [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ3nN09yczY], it can play Wii games! Or at least, use the remote as a sophisticated tilt-sensor/infrared sensor.
Yeah the NXT is what I have. But to me hooking up a wii-mote is all backwards. I got it to practice my ARM machine, now I'm planning on flashing it to run the open Robot Operating System.
It's all about automation, a wii-mote would just be remote control.

edit: wait, you said get it to play wii games? Hmm... a Mario galaxy conquering robot may be a touch beyond my skills.

I could make the Wii mote a bit more interesting!

Lego makes anything better.

So... basically they've taken a piece of plastic that people tend to swing around wildly, and added the option of sticking extra bits on it? That may or may not fly off when one does swing it wildly? Hmmm... this could be dangerous.
