Lets talk about non AAA and non indie games.

Triple A and indie games seem to be all I see anyone talks about recently. So would anyone like to talk about and/or recommend some games that might not fall into either of these categories?

I recently played a game called Don't Shit Your Pants.

It's surprising challenging. I haven't unlocked all of the achievements.

What even are non-AAA non-Indie games these days? Mid-list games that get put out on console to little fanfare and quickly forgotten? Ports of Japanese games that are of interest only to a limited audience? Game adaptations of movies?

Non-AAA, non-indie would be a good thing from some of the bigger companies, less focus on huge audiences but with an actual budget.

A Dead Space game with the budget of 1 and 2 so that the developers don't need to worry about it being the best selling game of the year.

Imagine how much better Deadly premonition would have been if the company had more than a fiver for world building.
