I just discovered klaypex due to an awesome video named 'dubstep guns'. Some people call it a trance dubstep hybrid. All these music terms confuse me.

All of those are free to download too!

Oh and look up skrillex, though many people say hes not dubstep. I dont like most of his stuff, but what I do like, I really like!

Shackleton is well worth a listen, particularly if you're looking for more distinctive and experimental dubstep (though the label is, perhaps, less-apt with him as it is with WUBWUBWUB merchants like Skrillex).

Dubstep is a fairly humdrum genre, much like psybient (and I love them both to death, don't get me wrong), that is unfortunately currently oversaturated with hack-artists, much as with psybient and pop music...

and undersatured with Coldplay. I'm not even joking:

That bass drop has a tophat. A drophat, if you will.

I guess technically these are considered "psy step" rather than dubstep, but most people who like dubstep will dig it.

Anyway, most dubstep is kinda ehhhhhh, like anything, but there are some gems.

I used to be way into Dubstep a while ago, but I have been seriously bummed out by it a whole lot, and I only listen to Post-Dubstep now, which is actually loads better, and it incorporates various different styles and sounds with Dubstep. Like SBTRKT for example, who's album ranks to me as the best this year.

Also, if anyone says Dubstep has no musical integrity, tell them to shut the fuck up, and show them some Burial.

Sorry guys, but It's much better than that pretentious Skrillex rubbish, or that idiotic Ponystep (I felt ill just typing that word).

What's dubstep?

I'm not joking. Seriously, what is it?
Why don't you look it up? I've heard of this thing called 'Googal' where you type in a thing and it tells you things. It can even show you pictures and videos.

OT: I like Downlink a lot. Insane drops, makes up for the lack of frills. Excision is also good, and that Guided Relaxation Dub thing by Borgore is insane on MDMA.

The only piece of dubstep I've ever liked was Syndicate by Skrillex. I can't stand anything else from that genre.

Lemme just put some stuffs here. I put some dubstep like how it used to be. Where it actually made the "wub wub" sounds that people associate dubstep with. =D
Used these videos cuz the pics are cool. ^-^ I'll put real song names.
Song name: Terror Dome ------------vv
Song name: Bail Out -------------------vv

Take my advice, anything by Excision and/or Datsik will blow your mind. They are and continue to be, my favourite dubstep artists.

You should check out Excision Shambhala 2010 - over an hour of amazing dubstep mixed by Excision. Definitely a good place to start if you're just getting into this genre.
