LittleBigPlanet 2 Developer Chose Delay Over Patch
Media Molecule isn't releasing LittleBigPlanet 2 until it's satisfied that every fan will be able to enjoy it properly.

Speaking at the Eurogamer Expo this weekend, Media Molecule boss Alex Evans said that the studio had decided to delay the game rather than fix it post-launch because not every fan would necessarily be able to get a patch.
Evans said that the game was functional and some version of it could have made the release date, but that Media Molecule wanted to put out something that it was proud of and that LBP2 needed just a few more weeks to make it "super amazing," rather than just "amazing." Patches were out of the question, as not every PS3 is connected to the internet, so the decision was made to delay the game's release until Media Molecule was happy with the version on the disc.
"I'm really sorry the delay frustrated people, even us," he said. "I mean I really wanted to get this game out for Christmas so hard. We pushed ourselves but realized with just a few more weeks we could make it perfect." Evans added that the game would live forever, but that the delay would soon be forgotten.
LittleBigPlanet 2 is scheduled to be released in January 2011.
