Lonesome Road Will Take a Little Longer

Bethesda Softworks says the Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout: New Vegas [http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-New-Vegas-Pc/dp/B002SU4QG4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1312995812&sr=8-3] won't be out this month after all, for a whole bunch of reasons.

To make a long story short, Lonesome Road, the latest DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, will not be out in August, as was apparently the plan. To make a short story a little longer, senior producer Jason Bergman explained why on the Fallout forums [http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1179411-an-update-from-bethesda/page__view__findpost__p__18301521].

"We just wanted to drop in here and let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Lonesome Road won't be out this month," he wrote. "This isn't due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date."

So when will it be out? "We don't have an exact date yet, but we're working to get it out as quickly as possible," he continued. "We'll be announcing the final date, along with a couple of other interesting FNV-related items in the near future."

While Bergman declined to explain exactly what caused the delay, he did make the very interesting point of noting that it's not Bethesda's fault. "Wish I could go into more detail, but I can't," he wrote in a separate post. All I'll say is that it is through no fault of the developers."

Very interesting indeed! The implication seems to be that it won't be a huge delay for Lonesome Road, so I'm thinking September. When we know, you'll know!

I don't mind. I'm still exploring Old World Blues.

Just make Lonesome Road as awesome as the others and I really don't mind how long they take!

That's a good thing. That means I'll be able to focus all my attention on Deus Ex 3 (and, you know, school and shit) for most of September. Then go back to Vegas.

Pitty. It means I won't be able to play it before I head off to school.

Oh well. I loved OWB so much, I'm willing to wait.

The Toaster demands it now or the world will burn in nuclear fire! Again!

If they manage to make Lonesome Road as awesome and funny as OWB was...take your time ;)

As long as it keeps up the quality, I don't have a problem with the delay. I really liked all 3 DLC's, so I trust that Obsidian will do well with this one too.

"FNV related items" though, hmm. Perhaps GOTY edition? (With all the DLC I mean, I know the game wasn't GOTY for most. It was for me though.)

As long as the DLC is worth the wait.

I bloody hope so. It feels like half of the game has been building up to this.

Ya, I got mugs for you :3

My favourites
of the Sink personalities were The Toaster, Muggy and the Book Chute.

"Why would I give you pre-war books to make them blank?"

"That sounds seditious.....You have to re-indoctrinate yourself since mine were removed, you need a cage that fits over your head and a bag of molerats" xD

Agreed.

Due to vacation such, I have not yet had the time to complete Old World Blues.
This will hopefully allow me to pick up Lonesome Road on realease and be bathed in more Fallout glory.

Especially seeing as Old World Blues felt the need to hype it up about 300 billion times.

Disappointed as I'm really want to know the deal with Ulysses, but I probably won't have gotten it straight away with Deus Ex 3 on the horizon.
