A strange question, but humour me...

What context pops into your head first when you hear or think these words: 'look at me(!)'? [with or without the exclamation mark]

After 60+ replies, I really didn't expect this rather uniform distribution of pretty much 'attention seekers' and 'gaming references'...

Anyway, I was in a contemplative mood when I posted the OP, so my thought was what I say first when comforting a depressed loved one.

"look at me!" sounds like the same thing but replace emo with attention whore.

It used to make me think of children. Now it makes me think of people setting their pubes on fire, or putting fireworks in their pants.
