Okay, so the sorta boyfriend got a Steam Box for Hanukkah, and now has access to a huge litany of games that are on PC. Meaning that I can finally have a reason to figure out if a certain kind of game exists.
What I'm looking for is a zombie survival game that's kinda like the Sims game, something along the lines of Zoo Tycoon gameplay wise, where you have to design a safezone/compound to keep zombies away, keep your survivors alive and happy, send them out for supplies and/or train them to make things, deciding whether or not to let other survivors into your safezone/compound, defend against hordes, etc.
The closest I've played to this sort of game is State of Decay, and while I had fun with it, I really wished for more control over what the survivors did and more customization over the safezone/compound.
