There is no way anyone can make a coherent plot out of the convulted, radioactive crater left behind by Lindelof and co. in the "Lost" universe. They can either:
1) forget about 80% of the contradictory "mythos" they built up over the seasons (they really should have just ended by the end of season 3), but then what's the point, is it Lost anymore?
2) try to patch something from the wreck, having nothing original or "mysterious" to propel it forward, which is not doable given the mess of threads they left at the end. So again, waht's the point?
The Lost well is poisoned. I think most of the fans themselves had to push themselves to watch it to the end. I know I did, and everyone else in my life that watched the show. It was just too much invested time to just give it up.
