Lost games that you've torn your house apart trying to find again?

Bit of a long title, my apologies.

A friend of mine beat Fable 3 recently, and despite his heavy game play complaints and its lackluster ending, I was compelled to try it. He was right of course. There was a lot about the game I didn't like, from its forgettable soundtrack to the repetitive combat, but there was some sort of mindless compulsion to pile money and make trite moral decisions I couldn't shake. It seemed oddly familiar, and that's when I remembered the very first Fable game, in all its nostalgic glory.

Half of the contents of my closet and shelves are now lying on the floor as the result of my fruitless searching. Every game box I own has been opened and shut thrice over in vain to see if I misplaced the disc. At this point my only recourse will be to borrow my neighbors copy, assuming he doesn't only have it because I lent it to him in the first place.

--->So Escapists, what games of yours from olden times have been collecting dust only for you to sprint back to it years later? It can be any system, from GameBoy Color to Xbox 360, that you've frantically searched every nook and cranny of your house trying to find.

EDIT: Some more examples of nostalgia games: Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64, Lego Racers 64, Morrowind, both Kotor's, Animal Crossing, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, Star/Warcraft, Diablo I, Final Fantasy IX/X, Kingdom Hearts

When I was younger I lost my copy of Pokemon Crystal. It was only a couple years after it had come out. I was really upset at the time. I don't really care aymore. I never did find it, though. I'm fairly certain a friend at the time stole it.

The original Crash Bandicoot for the PS1.

Pokemon Ranger for the DS.

Halo 2 for the XBox

Suprisingly, not as many as I'd think.

My original copy of Chrono Cross disappeared when I was but a wee lad, ne'er to reappear again... so I found and bought a new copy when I was 16.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU-

*rushes off to ebay to find copies* That was one of my favorite games, I distinctly remember playing it at a beach house, and boy was that game unforgiving if you didn't time your jumps correctly.

Interesting to note about Halo 2, I somehow have about three copies. If you live in Florida I could send you one :D

A ways back, I lost my copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was incredibly sad. Luckily, I found it, so I can continue using a small yellow rodent and/or a pretty-boy swordsman with a tiara to virtually beat up my friends. =D

Thanks for the generosity, but I now lack a functioning XBox classic, plus I'm not in Florida, but ol' Ohio.

Windwaker. Every so often I get a massive urge to play it and every time I cannot find it, and on my latest search I discovered I have no idea where my Gamecube is. How do you lose a console?

Literally not a weekend ago, Planescape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights: Diamond ed.

I found NWN minus one of the install discs (dammit), and PST is still eluding me. So I just bought them again on GOG.com :-X

Dungeon Keeper 1. Then I'm told it was "Thrown out with the rest of the outdated junk"

Cue rage rant on how the game sin't junk because I enjoy it so much. Mom still says it's junk because it wasn't made three years before this happened.

Pokemon Red, looked everywhere and never did found it, eventually i discovered years later that my brother swapped it to his mate for ANOTHER Pokemon Yellow, and that Yellow wasn't even his mate's, it was the Mate's Sister's game.

Though years before he told me, his mate came around to the house only to have the door answered by Mum, basically she misheard him or something saying "Your mate says he wants his yellow Pokemon or something"

Soul Calibur 2 for Gamecube.
Talking about it with a guy in my class, said he could beat me, so I had to hunt it down and prove him wrong.

The second Paper Mario. I've replayed the first and Super at least three times each since I lost it, and I've been really, really wanting it back. It's one of my favorite games ever.
