Okay so yeah. I lost my job due to my company no longer being able to afford me ( as if i was so expensive ). So naturally this comes with the stress of being jobless , the stress of having to look for a job , and the stress of not knowing what the future holds. What sucks the mostis i was starting to get my life together and BAM everything changed .

Now i am not in any debt ( yet ) and i could probably go two month without a job and still not be in debt . Hell i'm even planing to go to cuba at the end of march (may not be the best decision but i NEED this trip ) ,but still i worry . It could be worst ( optimism engage ! ) but as with all first world problems , it seems TERRIBLE to me .

So this thread is for you kind escapists to cheer me up ( I LOVE YOU GUYS ) so if you would be so kind to post songs That will make me feel like all is not lost and everything is going to be alright . Also any personal rags to riches stories would be appreciated !

Thank you in advance.

Dude! I so know where you are right now! I've been there repeatedly. In fact I racked up several thousand dollars in credit debt to make it through until I got my current job. Happily it's probably the best job I've ever had as far as having a good company to work for. I was a factory drone for several years a while back and we were treated like vermin.

Keep your chin up!

Here are two funny songs I keep in my Favorites.

The first:

And here's the other.

Um...I don't advise doing this of course! ^_^

not sure how you feel about metal and darkwave but these songs always get me feeling like I can take on the world

remember man, setbacks are temporary, after getting out of the army in 04 I worked (and got laid off from) a few jobs before I finally found things looking up again. Best of luck to you and I hope things turn around quickly.

EDIT: if you're in the mood for something a bit less heavy

(warning video is a bit odd XD )

Well, I have to answer the call of the thread title first : )

Now, how about some...

That video always makes me giggle, too. I hope you're back in the market before you know it!

Don't forget momentum. Keep up the momentum. Depending on your musical tastes, some of these may get your blood going.

Look at it this way - you're now part of the 8%. Nowhere near the countless others who just gave up looking for a job. That still puts you in a good position to get gainful employment. Better hurry though - prospective employers have an attention span that can be measured in nanoseconds. Now,

Well, when I'm down on things, I usually respond with angry determination. To that end, I've always turned to hardcore when feeling directionless or downtrodden. Especially Hatebreed which, ironically, have a really positive message to a lot of their songs (a heavy bias towards personal action and perseverance).

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for...but it usually makes me feel better.

Here you go Krazy.
I hope you enjoy :D

And sadly no rags to riches story for you. I was extremely poor until a few years ago but that change was because one of my aunts married very well and took pity on me. No success cuz of my own initiative to cheer you up :(

Just remember it's all right :)

Wow, somebody already posted a VNVN video...that makes my day in itself. Not my video, but still. Hopefully, the OP can take the same joy from this as I have. :p
