I'm currently on episode 5 of season 5.

Most people can't stomach how ridiculous some it is, but I like it. I see it more as a platform for storytelling via flashbacks and flashforwards and sort of ignore the grand overarching narrative of trying to get on/off the island.

- Smoke monsters
- Polar Bears
- Moving Islands
- Time Travel
- Not ageing
- miraculous healing
Almost all of which were explained.

Seriously people: IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW, DON'T POST IN THIS THREAD ABOUT HOW MUCH IT SUCKS OR HOW CONFUSING YOU THINK IT IS, THAT IS A PRACTICE WE CALL FLAMING.

IMO, Lost is a show for people who have the attention span and patience to wait for answers, I do, so I watch it and find it to be a great show.
Those of you that dropped off after season one, many things were explained later, so it's not like the writers don't explain things.

I personally LOVE the show, and even though the most recent episode was a little boring, the new twist they introduced once again made me yell out "SON OF A *****!"

And they do have the rest of the series planned out. They already know when the show is going to end, and how. A lot of the more minor stuff might be made up as they go, but overall they know what they need to get to.

Lost is pointless, meandering, poorly-written, contrived, flashback-ridden, clusterfucking, poorly characterized, asinine crap. And the people who watch it are idiots.

Just my two cents.
I would normally respect another persons opinion, but the second last sentence in your post has just lost you that right. That's not an opinion, that's just being crass. Do you know every single person that watches Lost and prove that they are all in fact, idiots?

Didn't think so, really.

I had exactly the same reaction to the end of the last episode! It is so typical Lost to do that . . . have a semi-boring episode and then a huge shocker at the end. . . thats why I love it so much!

I recommend seasoning most of my posts with a pinch of salt.

To taste, obviously.

I feel about Lost season 5 the same way I do about every Dean Koontz book...

SOMEONE MAKE THE BAD MAN STOP!!!!!

Sorry, restraint vanished there for a moment.

I remember the creator saying he had about 7 seasons worth of material in his head when the show first started. I missed the final episode of Season 1 broadcast but after a while I found I didnt really care enough to go and find a copy to watch.

I'm addicted to the show, for every 20 questions it asks the show answers 5 at the time, then weeks later it'll answer 5 more. Even though I think they won't be able to end the show properly in a way that satisfies everyone, I just can't resist wanting to know what everything's all about. Good show.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. And now, I'm completely lost in what's going on in the show.
Even if people hate the show, they have to admit that Lost does make some damn good dramatic trailers.

Personally, I feel it should have ended 5 seasons ago...JJ Abram's plot lines are just terrible most of the time.
How do you think the plot lines are terrible? I think they make the show quite interesting.

I'm a fan but critical of how they tend to solve mysteries with more mysteries or solve them and then introduce totally different elements including new mysteries into the equation.
e.g in the last episode they found a
hydrogen bomb
which okay was from
testing in the pacific
but how did it end up on the island when it would have been
dropped from a plane
?

Oh, I like the show. Its even more confusing than Twin Peaks!
I just haven't had the time to get caught up in what's going on; I lost track after I came to school.

I know I was just messing with all the haters on this thread, seeing as how there's, like, 6 people here who actually like it. :)

I like season 5, admittedly they are really starting to pile in the "WTF" moments and Im still none the wiser to anything thats going on in the show but its still really original writing and they have done a lot to expand the characters and plot.

Do a google search for stuff like oceanic flight 815 and theres loads of cool stuff, plus they have a Hanzo foundation website with a few clues dotted around.

Its crazy :)

I really like Lost this season.
Locke could have killed Charles Widmore when they went back in time and negated the entire series! That would shake things up!
Ahh, but you forget, as Farraday said.... "If it didn't happen, it can't happen."

Personally, i'm enjoying the series, and they do seem to have a definite direction this season.
With the whole timeshift plotline, i'm really hoping we get to see the Black Rock in action in it's shipping days. Then Lost would have PIRATES!

I know, right? There's tons of stuff out there, including Mobisodes which fill in little gaps in the series. Abrams is pretty good at the whole immersion thing.

Anyone else notice the Dharma symbol in "Cloverfield" ? Now that's some cross-over chaos right there.
