LOTRO Can't Create an Account

I recently downloaded the LOTRO, since it's now free to play, but I can't create an account. Anyone having this problem or have you fixed it?

I'm having this same problem. Yesterday when trying to create an account it would not accept any username i tried. Now when i go to create an account @ lotro.com it accepts my info but then loads a turbine page inplace of the play for free registration box. Then on that there is a link for either creating a free lotro account for 10 days or creating a free DDO account. If i click the lotro link it then reloads the lotro home page. So i'm stuck in this cycle. Help section wont load i get "Error: An unexpected system error has occured. We apologize for the inconvenience". Fuguring the site is down due to the number of people trying to register...

k someone from another forum helped. google chrome worked just fine. I couldnt do it in ie. goodluck

im having the same problem ive made like 50 accounts this is my first time playing lotro and im dissapointed

I have been working on this for an hour or so and couldn't get it to work with Chrome or IE. I switched over to Firefox and it finally worked. Good luck...

As people have been saying it could just be the browser. Also something to consider is that Lotro is a smaller MMO and going F2P is going to bring a ton of strain onto the servers and you may just need to wait it out.

If you were on CrickHollow today the server basically came to a standstill when everyone and there mother decided to log in

No, it's a Turbine problem. You need to send them an email or account registration problem ticked, or whatever its called, so they can send you an account registration code and so you can start playing.

Nah, I'm on Firefoot. I got kicked but I think it was a problem with running it through steam, not with Turbine.
