Salutations Lulz Lizards,

As we're aware, the government and whitehat security terrorists across the world continue to dominate and control our Internet ocean. Sitting pretty on cargo bays full of corrupt booty, they think it's acceptable to condition and enslave all vessels in sight. Our Lulz Lizard battle fleet is now declaring immediate and unremitting war on the freedom-snatching moderators of 2011.

Welcome to Operation Anti-Security (#AntiSec) - we encourage any vessel, large or small, to open fire on any government or agency that crosses their path. We fully endorse the flaunting of the word "AntiSec" on any government website defacement or physical graffiti art. We encourage you to spread the word of AntiSec far and wide, for it will be remembered. To increase efforts, we are now teaming up with the Anonymous collective and all affiliated battleships.

Whether you're sailing with us or against us, whether you hold past grudges or a burning desire to sink our lone ship, we invite you to join the rebellion. Together we can defend ourselves so that our privacy is not overrun by profiteering gluttons. Your hat can be white, gray or black, your skin and race are not important. If you're aware of the corruption, expose it now, in the name of Anti-Security.

Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation. Prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments. If they try to censor our progress, we will obliterate the censor with cannonfire anointed with lizard blood.

It's now or never. Come aboard, we're expecting you...

History begins today.

Lulz Security,

Basically...I see zero good coming from this. Less than zero. Negative good will come from this.

Stealing and releasing 'any classified government information' isn't exposing corruption. Some of those things are classified for a reason. Like, you know, undercover operations where people would die if their position were compromised.

...Sooooo...yeah. What do you figure will come of this? Will they be ignored, or will people respond to their call for aid?

Wow. Just... wow.

First off, good luck finding any classified material on the internet, retards, for there is none.

Second off, this isn't freedom fighting in any sense of the word. It's blatant cyber crime, perhaps even cyber-terrorism. Even if it's just "for the lulz" WHICH IT'S NOT, nobody is going to be laughing when they end up in jail or when people get hurt because of this.

Oh dear. I don't think this is going to end well. It might. But somehow I get the feeling it won't. Just a feeling.

While I like that they are raising concerns about security, I sure as hell am not going to be part of any data dump they do. Fuck that shit. I just closed my paypal account and canceled my credit card. I doubt they could get any of that sort of info from most financial institutions, but better safe than sorry.

On one hand, this is going to cause governments to start fearing people as they should, on the other hand, where do you go from playing it safe to crossing the line in order to make a point?

I don't like this.

"As we're aware, the government and whitehat security terrorists across the world continue to dominate and control our Internet ocean"

Isn't this exactly what Lulzsec has been doing these past months? Terrorizing and dominating control over the internet?

I'm all for de-regulation of the internet, but something's gotta be done about these guys.

*facepalm* Honestly, does anyone actually know what the point is behind all of this anymore, aside from the "MINE" syndrome that BABYS go through?

"To increase efforts, we are now teaming up with the Anonymous collective and all affiliated battleships."

Sounds like a good way to screw over your own agenda, lol. The only thing Anonymous is any good for is destruction, and I assure Lulzsec that employing random internet users willy-nilly will only bring down their operation.

...Which I'm all for, actually!

Apparently Lulzsec has already been doxed, or for those of you outside of the 4chan loop, they have been identified. Screen names, accounts on various sites (just names, no passwords), and pictures have been posted. Whether or not it's actually them remains to be seen.

huh...maybe flagrant displays of bravado and declarations of terrorism will FINALLY motivate some website somewhere to take their security seriously; though sadly i doubt it.

lulzsec has graciously turned itself into a chaotic evil pack of rampaging animals just so we can finally have the motivation to shoot them all; funny thing is, we'll probably still ignore them while they continue to bring the internet down around us.

though i of course hope we can amass the firepower to take out lulzsec....im sorry, but i just cannot abide irresponsible delusions like industry leaders and government officials having the capacity to learn...with that in mind, we totally need to form an internet militia of white hats and obliging grey hats to combat lulzsec; lord knows no one else will.

...... the Jedi's are going to feel this one

Lulzsec I can't say that I disagree with you on the fact that internet security sucks but causing a all out war against the government is going to end badly for your interest and lose you supporters. Plus hasn't this already been tried by Anonymous? I mean I am all for free speech but your employing anyone who is willing, so now people who's IP can be easily traced will fire away and end up in deep shit.

Good. People who don't know how to be anonymous online yet still do dumb shit deserve to be arrested. More than likely though, Lulzsec will just send those dumb people a "care package" and make them part of their botnet. Serves them right.

That's a good summary. War, even cyber-war, is a terrible thing. I don't see how having more of it can possibly result in a benefit at this point for the world which already has quite a few fires burning at present.

Oh well. I don't suppose there's any way to stop them is there?

Shouldn't that be Operation: Insecurity(or, just for pun, End Security)?
Right, that would almost make sense and thus not dispense any delicious Lulz. How thoughtlessly thoughtful of me.

"The" government is corrupt, so we should fuck with any agencies of any governments we can.

Yeah, fuck off.

You can defend leaking classified material (at least to an extent) with free speech and transparency of government and so on. You can defend causing trouble for select groups you know to be corrupt.

But a general attack on every government or affiliated group in the entire fucking world is batshit insane.

He is one man. He can't stop all of this shit from going down. I love the guy and what he does but him joining and his followers getting into the mix will only escalate things to higher levels. I hope he stays out.
