The tournament will feature both professional and amateur players battling for "thousands of dollars" in cash prizes, as well as special MLG Pro appearances and a "Get Better First" session aimed at helping aspiring gamers improve their skills on popular titles.

The World Series of Video Games was originally scheduled to hold a tournament at the E for All event, but its sudden collapse, Entertainment For All Expo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/76895], a consumer-focused event created in the wake of massive changes at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition (now known as the E3 Media and Business Summit), is running from October 18-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
