Well I don't know how the glasses-less 3D works. Something about projecting images at different angles or something... /shrug. But the general idea behind it is that each eye will receive a picture slightly offset from the other, resulting in the brain correlating horizontal displacement to linear distance, which gives you depth perception. As an example, close one eye and you may notice things look much different...

Anyway, I look forward to the day 3DTV is as common as HDTV is now - in terms of price and availablility. Obviously this will take a while and not many people will jump onboard until it's more reasonable. However, that's nothing surprising.

I just saw Resident Evil Afterlife 3D a couple nights ago. Not the best movie but the 3D was really cool. Many parts were just like WOW! The movie itself was... entertaining, anyway. I've personally enjoyed all the 3D movies I've seen.

We DO understand it. It sucks dick. There. That's your fucking reality.
lol. Have you tried it?
Have you?

I actually have. The difference is so minimal its not worth it.
lol. Like the upgrade from a 106 inch screen for your projector to a 108 lol.

OT: Nifty little read. The only thing that keeps me from buying it isn't lack of understanding but lack of care.
Yeah. I have. Makes no fucking difference at all. It actually feels WORSE than the 3D in the theater.
I've only seen 2 movies in 3D. But since you say you've tried it i won't say your a dick and to try something lol. Like the people who say Twilight sucks because it sucks. They don't know why they just know it does lol.
Did you say anything in this post? I saw words but they didn't form a coherent thought. Much like your previous post.

Are they also informing the consumer that they will be paying thousands for what is an optical illusion since it's NOT REAL 3D?

Waste of money, and hopefully the fad will die.
You do realise that the way 3D cameras used for things like sports to create 3D is exactly the same as the way you brain and eyes does it?

Eye = a 2D camera

3D camera = pair of 2D cameras in one case.

Sound familiar.

And Moving pictures on a TV, monitor and Cinema are just a optical illusion, indeed alot of animals dont see it as they persceive things faster than humans.
I think he wants a holographic projector. I do too, but thousands of dollars won't get you that right now.
Ah so he wants another optical illusion. They all are just depends on which is your flavour!

so you need to educate us(read: brainwash) about your gimmicky crap so we can buy more of it?

that doesn't sound like hidden marketing at all!

also hilarious that you expect every redneck to know as much about technology as an engineer who spent 6 years of college and 20 years in the line of work making this stuff.

I don't care if people don't understand how it works. (even if it is incredibly simple at a fundamental level) I want them to understand why it's better. Most people think it's just something popping out of the screen at you every once in a while.
