You idiots are missing the point.

If some stashes on illegal substance into a game, returns it, and no one notices it, who's to say that a more dangerous substance can't be hidden?

Quit jumping on the "hurr marijuana is OK!" train and think, for Christ's sake.
Like what, an ecstasy tab in a candy wrapper? Or a quantity of heroin complete with needle? Oh, I know, someone could include some pornography! That would surely irrevocably damage the child.
Like, say:
Around this same time last year, something very similar happen to another U.K. man, who discovered what was believed to be ecstasy inside a pre-owned copy of Grand Theft Auto 4.
Ecstasy. Which, yes, could irrevocably damage the child.

no one ever said the kid was 4 years old, he could well have been 12, 13 etc. in which case its not unthinkable of him playing Fight Night.
tbh, weed in games is a great antipiracy tool. shame it doesnt come in DLC form.
That's a wild idea: Downloadable Chronic!

Ha ha.

Fight Night is not for 4 year olds, btw.

Just another side note.

Really? Come one now. First off what dad gets their 4 year old kid fight night? Second, I don't think that a kid past the age of like 2 would try to eat something that looked like a plant like that, especially something that smells like weed.

Umm I dunno if you didn't read the OP but yes it did.

No. It takes frequent use for ecstasy to cause damage.

Not to mention, "he thought," means it was never confirmed.
There was a case in the UK a few years back, in which an 11-or-so year old had her drink spiked with ecstasy and died. It affects children differently I believe.

Just because you think it, doesn't make it true.

methylenedioxymethamphetamine, produces behavioral effects and toxicity similar to methamphetamine, according to medical experts. Ecstasy, like mescaline, can cause mild auditory and visual hallucinations mimicking natural occurring psychosis, as well as stimulant effects similar to amphetamine. An ecstasy-induced high is called "rolling," and typically lasts 3-5 hours.

Contrary to widespread belief among users that it's relatively safe and non-addictive, ecstasy poses serious health risk for its users. Indeed, some of ecstasy's short-term side effects can be fatal.

if i found marajuana in a used video game, i would be bowled over. It must have just been pot luck. I hope they don't send him to the joint for this.
For the record, I'm enjoying the really really bad puns. Keep up the good work Mr. Perot.

Oh no! Not Marijuana! Anything but that!

I hope we see how wrong we are about weed sometime soon.

When I bought Fight Night round 4, all I found in the package was my own latent homoeroticism...

Eh, not as bad as another story from a couple years back:

"Father finds bag of cocaine in GTA4 case"

Anybody else remember that?
