I've never been a big a Black Panther fan. I just can't think of any storylines where he did anything interesting or controversial. I think in a way it's been a part of this diversity deal where it's "hey wheres our black Captain america??". Now don't get me wrong I'm all for being inclusive, but weirdly Black Panther kinda represents this well spoken back to africa "what could have been" muslim buzzkill. When I think of my black superheroes at least from an american perspective I'm all about Blade and Luke Cage and Isaiah Bradley and patriot or Night Thrasher. I grew up white but poor and you know my guys are Iron Man(alcoholism broken home) & Spider-man(broken home poor misunderstood) & well all the x-men(hatred xenophobia) heroes I could look at and say hey they overcame. I think most of my black friends liked Batman mostly because he had a broken home and still had all the cool stuff we couldn't afford and as we got older John Stewart but were talking marvel. I don't really have any right to speak for the black nerd community but at least in my circle none of us liked Black Panther and other than Luke Cage we just didn't really have a black Marvel superhero to look up to and thats a shame.

I guess what I'm saying is I'm all for a black superhero movie(Meteor man!), but I just could not care less about black Panther. I wish they'd do Luke Cage instead since we already got Blade.
Luke Cage is one of the four Netflix series leading into the Defenders series. I dunno if he'll make it to the big screen, but it's all one universe so it's possible.

Can anyone see the initials for Guardians of the Galaxy? S.S.H?
It seems like the release date (5-5-17) sprayed over the logo. It is consistent with the "2", but I seriously doubt that art is final...

But in case you didn't know, Warlock's cocoon was in the Collector's possession, and the post-credits stinger revealed that it was open and empty. So maybe that helps answer your question?
I knew about that background easter egg, but there's is so little information from the films to tell us what kind of intro Warlock would have. He has such a complicated back-story in the comics, what with him being reborn/rejuvinated/regenerated so many times. Introducing the Magus as a villain makes since, especially since he can join the good guys afterward. The issue with Infinity War is that Warlock was split into 3 persons at the time. Add the whole evil dopplegangers and it seems like too much to work cohesively in the MCU.

When and if we see the Magus, who thinks he'll be sporting his 70s afro?

And still no Hulk movie in sight... *sigh*

really looking forward to see Captain Marvel and Black Panther finally make their big screen debut

Hulk sucks as a film, people want to see the Hulk smash stuff but it only works in small doses and the Banner stuff is boring (see first 2 attempts).

My only concern is the Civil War one, they don't have a massive roster yet of heroes yet, so it will be interesting to see how they handle it.

It occurs to me that they could pull off a Planet Hulk movie in Phase 4 by Hulk getting lost/marooned in space at the end or during Infinity War. Could be a good way to build up Thanos: At the end of Part 1, Thanos has the Gauntlet together, the Avengers try to take him on, he just zaps the Hulk into nothingness like swatting a fly. Cue a trailer a year later showing Hulk lording over a planet.

Weird no mention of finally having a black super hero film, or I guess it doesn't count if he isn't female.
Yes, because that never happens...
Missed a few...

... Okay, so maybe this is the first chance we get for a GREAT black super hero film....

Too bad there is no room for Howard the Duck. Because the end credits extra from Guardians of the Galaxy where Dr. Gonzo is sulking, and a CGI Howard makes an appearance is hysterical. Well, in my book it is anyhow.

And for the rest of the superhero films, including those from DC and Marvel: 'NOPE'.

TV shows however, are not banned from my personal watch list. Some shows (Arrow, the Flash, Gotham) can have my time because it's only 45 minutes long and is not completely filled with crap and trying desperately to set up another film/TV franchise.

I am probably one of the few people who are already 'superhero' sick on this website, but sheez. How can a person get invested if you are being whammied from all sides with film versions of already known heroes in comics? it's also a display of how Hollywood (yes, that bitching you knew it was coming) is running on empty with fresh ideas.

Personally I hope Marvel and DC will put a sock in it from 2020 because I am fed up with the chewed out toy called superheroes on the big screen. Or Ebola will get us all, either way... fine by me.

Because I am entitled to my own opinion. That's why. And I explained very thoroughly that I don't hate the whole superhero on big screen hype. I'm just freaking tired of this genre possibly bullying other genres in the near future from being made.

So let's see...not only have we reached the stage where Marvel movies are being cut in half, but it's the stage where three-quels are lacking a "3" in the name. Y'know, because Marvel Studios hates future archeologists.

(Yes, that's a Yahtzee shoutout).

What is with these kind of unknown's (to the general masses) getting films? Like who the fuck is ant man? Who the fuck is black panther?

Superman, spiderman, batman etc are all things we grew up watching as cartoons or whatever but it seems only the comic book guys know who ant man is.

I can't even get excited about ant man, he just sounds like the most lame one ... like in Family guy when they all get super powers, ant man is Meg (who gets the ability to grow her finger nails at will).

Black panther sounds like a 70's porn star, with a handle bar mustache and afro ... and wears sex panther.

Not crazy about an Inhumans movie, and I'd prefer it if A:IW part 2 was occupying it's current November 2nd slot; but The Avengers will have had three premiers the first week in May. No sense in breaking with tradition, I suppose.

I do have a possible solution to the Spider-Man problem, however, and that is go to Toei. They should still own the rights to their TV Spider-Man from 1978. Tweak the origin and suit a bit, and Takuya Yamashiro would bring some much needed worldly diversity to the MCU.

Hm...exciting news. Very good, very good, but I have one important question:

What am I supposed to watch for 2015? Am I missing something, or is it really just Avengers 2 next year?

So what happened to Falcon? I thought he was going to be in Captain America 3, but it seems like he's going to be missing. I hope they explain that. And I'm glad they still mentioned Black Widow, but I would like to see a movie about her eventually.

I see Marvel has taken the Harry Potter/Twilight/Hobbit/Hunger Games road and split the final entry in its cash cow franchise into two parts. Because why milk an infinite amount of money when you can milk infinity plus one?
But do do that would be... to court death #yeaaaaahhh
