I just got up to the point where you meet Tali and I have been having absolutely NO luck with the manual override feature.
I press the buttons as fast as I can, and I mean fast as within half a second or less fast of a reaction time here, but it always says I fail. Needless to say, it is pissing me off, because I don't have near enough gel to just open the damned things with that.
From what I hear it is supposed to give you a couple seconds at least to press the button before you fail. I know I am not hitting the wrong buttons on accident. I know I am not taking too long based on what others tell me. Why the hell is it being so stupid?
