I have to say. This does not look good for the 360 these days. Soon there will only be that zombie game left on it. Oo the name escapes me. You know it's a shooter with a number in it. Seems to be always there. What's it called? Halo, that it. What you mean its got nothing to do with zombies? The game's been flogged to death and brought back for years now. And have you met halo live players? Not a living brain cell among them.
While I among the aforementioned Halo Xbox Live players, I will admit that was crafty.

On topic however, I'm glad that Ps3 owners, as ungrateful as some may be, get to experience Mass Effect 2 in all it's glory.

Hopefully this extra content will allow players to customize their Shepard's past and fill them in on the Story So Far. It's also hilarious to see fanboys crawling out of the woodwork here.

Meh not bothered about it. Not having the first one will suck though. Might persuade them to go out and get it for the PC or maybe buy a xbox for it :L Isn't the 360 getting MGS RISING? Fair trade imo

Edit: Nevermind, didn't know ME2 was on PC.

Hmmm - good for the PS3 owners, I guess. It's just kind of weird that they won't be able to play the first one and import the character, which was one of the coolest aspects of the series. I'm curious what this extra content is going to be... ooh, wouldn't it be cool if it was playing out the origins for Shepherd - Survivor, War Hero, and whatever the third one is?

Doesn't matter to me since I own both consoles, but it's nice to see the PS3 getting an Xbox exclusive for a change rather than always giving their's to Microsoft.

If you had said this to me back in my younger days this might actually have bothered me. But truth be told I like to think I've evolved past the usual 'graaaaagh me hate PS3' mindset. So now I think I can safely say that it doesn't bother me all that much.
Good for the PS3 fans, they finally get to play a good game on their crummy $600 dollar paperweight*.

.... Nope, clearly still have the Sony hate.

My computer can't handle mass effect, glad I get to play this.

Thank you Bioware, you're AWESOME. ;)

360 fanboys are mad.

Haven't seen this hate and anxiety since Cows finding out FFXIII being announced for the 360.

Jay-zuz, what is with all the hate here? Seriously, the PS3 is getting Mass Effect 2, that's great for PS3 owners who can't get a better PC to play them on.

It's a shame that Mass Effect 1 isn't being released, as some people have said it was published by Microsoft Studios while the second was published by EA, but regardless I'm happy for my PS3 brethren to get such a highly acclaimed series.

Not that I'll be getting it, I'm going to get the two games on my brand new PC anyway :p

I am envious that PS3 owners will get to experience Mass Effect 2 for the first time. Especially when 360 and PC owners will have had it a year, completed it and still not got around to finishing all the DLC that they've downloaded for it...or maybe that's just me.

I also hope that PS3 owners don't get ME3 at the same time as 360 and PC owners. While it may be petty to wish that, it's kinda unfair that they won't have to wait as long to find out the end of the trilogy.
But they have had to wait as long.

Wait, I forgot, is Mass Effect 1 on the PS3? Because I doubt people would buy the sequel on a different console, because of the port-over thing.

Unless they'll release ME1 (with all the save file-importing that implies) in the near future, I'll just go ahead and get it for PC whenever that oppurtunity arises. Which is to say not until next year, at best.
Yes, I'm willing to postpone playing one of the most lauded games of the year just so that I can import my own save file. What about it?

Does anyone know for sure that Microsoft still owns the rights to the original Mass Effect? I know they published it, but I would have thought that they'd handed the entire franchise over to EA when they bought BioWare.

Either way, this announcement kinda makes me doubt that ME1 will be ported to PS3. It would be awfully weird to announce the first game AFTER announcing the second.
