But...let's be the rational human beings us Escapists are and note that, as a AAA game it can't possibly get less than 5/10 in an un-bias professional review, (all AAA games will be playable and therefore start at average, unless it really is unplayable and buggy...like Skyrim).
So, ME3 starts at 5/10, now I'm judging from the demo and what I've seen as it's not out here yet but I think I can make a guess as to how the game should review.
Everything works - 5/10
Improved combat - 6/10
Epic Story - 7/10
Great Voice acting - 8/10
Graphics and animation has somehow gotten worse - 7/10
multiplayer is fun for a little bit - 7/10
I mean, unless the game itself is literally FULL of bugs and control issues the game at least will be 6/10 and ONLY then if the bugs are on a level of Skyrim, which I doubt as Bioware have been pretty good with bugs so far.
Day 1 DLC doesn't mean you can give lower review scores
Design decisions to cut corners around designs of characters or scenes, you can give lower scores for this but come on, that's really detracting from the experience of the game
Let's say the story is god awful, that still only makes it a 6, not a 0.
The only way ME3 can get a 10 or a 9 is if the combat was improved to match the quality of Binary Domain or Vanquish, the enemy AI too, if the animation looked like Heavy Rain or something and if the story was literally the best thing in the world ever
The only way ME3 can get a 0 or 1 is if the game pretty much didn't work, you couldn't walk around because it was THAT painful to control, if the combat was like ME1 or even worse, if the animation looked like MGS on the PS, if the story made no sense or did something completely random or retconned everything.
Sure ME3 may do some of these things but certainly not all
