Is it just me, or is he holding that gun REALLY awkwardly?

Colour me excited, The Illusive Man is one of the most interesting characters in recent gaming memory.
Educated guess, maybe it's the Turian's gun he has gotten off him

That's wrong on a few different levels. If you want to get really technical, humanity has been exploring the stars since April 12, 1961 when Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel in space.
But if you mean what I think you mean (the number of years humanity has been using Mass Relays), you're still wrong: humanity first used Mass Relays in 2149, meaning by the events of ME2, we've only been using them for 36 years. Since this takes place sometime before ME1, you're wronger still.

Sorry for the nerd moment there, I've got nothing much to do with my time and I'm a massive Mass Effect nerd. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the comic coming out. (still have to read the one about Liara though)

He's got it turned sideways for a killshot so that you know he's serious. He does that with his serious face:

Whoops, you're right, I got a date mixed up. I shall correct my error now.

Gazooks, my nerd knowledge came in useful? Next thing you know I'm going to become published.
