No reason to avoid the topic. It's kind of like the Holocaust: This terrible thing that happened but is still interesting to talk about the multiple ways it was terrible.

Poor Bioware, it's a shame you wrote what could have been a golden goose that kept laying golden eggs into a hole with your 3 coloured explosions.

A game where the reapers were just -defeated- due to an alliance between all races would have been adaptable for a continuation of the series... but now the three endings mean that either the Reapers are replaced with Shepards who will do whatever Shepard did alignment wise, everyone is some freaky robot-organic thing that was never really explained or all robots are dead - for now. Every one of those has decimated the political landscape in some way or another and means writing a 'what happened after' story of any sort just forced a particular canon.

Couldn't do what you did with Dragon Age II story wise in relation to Dragon Age: Origins and just have a new character existing in the aftermath of Shepard's choices? No, because the end game for Mass Effect was TOO polarising.
They could do a Deus Ex Invisible War. *shivers* Everyone being unhappy is the best compromise after all.

Great. So we can expect Mass Effect 4 to have characters and references to a comic book series that I have absolutely no interest in. It happened with Mass Effect 3.

The BSN called. They want you to return the crazy.

Seriously? The holocaust? Bioware brutally murdered the fanbase? Wtf?

Back on topic now. I find it interesting they are using a female lead, however, I suspect she'll be just like Liara humanized and will probably spend half of the book dreaming about banging Shepard. The other half will be filled with unnecessary, unrealistic, female overemotional drama and boob/butt shots. The character will probably discover things we already know and will make ME3 entirely invalid because she discovered this stuff way before Shepard did.

I kind of wish they would do something in the Mass Effect universe COMPLETELY, UTTERLY, UNRELATED TO SHEPARD AND CREW.

Is there anything else in this galaxy or does Shepard and Crew encompass all of it. Also betting it will involve locations already visited and nothing new.

Seriously though, what is the point of having politically correct floating jelly fish in your universe if you aren't gonna use them?
This. I demand more space jellyfish!
