I love the accuracy of the boulder measurements in this article.
"...deposit a huge-ass rock on his ex-wife's front lawn."
Huge-ass= one metric fuckton.

If I'm perfectly honest, if I lived in that town, that would be the only reason for me to vote that bloke back into office.

I guess they had a rocky divorce.
Zing!

Seriously though, it's a parting gift. I don't think he should get in trouble for trying to be nice to his ex.
no kidding first she divorces him then she throws his gift back in his face and tries to press
charges its like shes trying to make him hit rock bottom :D

Also as a canadian I have to say this mayor is hillarious and I would vote for him.

It is not yet clear whether the mayor will face criminal charges.
What would you charge him with? Giving an unwanted gift isn't exactly illegal...

Yeah but dumping a 20-ton boulder on someone's lawn, ruining it and making them look like idiots is. It'd probably be labeled under criminal mischief or something similar.

I don't know, I've seen rock gardens, rock art(not sculptures, just flat rocks piled in interesting ways) and landscaping with a focus on large rocks for aesthetic appeal. I'd need a picture of it to see if it looked good there(and if it's colour was nice and if it was cleaned beforehand).

[EDIT]

Sorry, I didn't click the link you provided.

I think I could make it work in my yard, although the one in the pic above is a little ridiculous in size.

How did she not hear it being deposited? I mean it would be difficult to do that quietly.

The only reason I would have a problem with this is if he used tax payer money to do it but it sounds like he didn't so.../props.

God why is the escapist talking about that it already annoying here in the local newspaper.

Also information are missing or inaccurate, the rock was actually dropped on the alleyway, not the lawn, it cause some parking trouble. =p (said there was a ditch on side of the alleyway, but edited out, for actually not sure)

Also the supposed reason he did that is because his ex-wife is making night call to wake him up and his new girlfriend and because she been making multiple inquiry, with governmental organization, against his excavation company.

Which if true, I think the rock was quite asked for.

Also the police even intercepted him when delivering the boulder, but couldn't do anything for he was simply delivering a gift. And the rock was starting to be cut and sold in piece by the ex-wife, when it was finally moved.

Has for those that wanted a picture of the rock. It say "Happy Birthday Isa xx" on it and on the back it written "For all you do for me" (Pour tout ce que tu fais pour moi).

How did this guy become a mayor???
It's Quebec, you'd understand if you were Canadian.
iv heard that quebec is to canada what wales is to britain.

Im always wondering how true it is.
Culturally, Quebec is really different. An example would be how it's Provincial law to have ALL SIGNS in French first then English second in smaller font. Not to mention that whole separation thing.

Haha this mayor has my vote.

Although the wife miss a golden opportunity for a quick retort. "Geez I thought I got rid the huge weight when I divorved him"

The link is presented in OT. I gotta tell you, it's nothing glamorous like the pic you showed me.
