ME2 did you scan EVERY planet?

I didn't and I wanted to know if it was worth scanning every single planet.

Did anyone find anything interesting for getting 100% planets scanned? or was it simply more rocks and resources?

I have this feeling that I missed out on a couple side missions because I didn't scan 50% of the galaxy, I mean I did every loyalty mission, I still feel like I missed something.

So I guess what I want to know are there any other anomalies on planets that you can land on and do something besides though tied directly to the Loyalty missions or ones you already know about? Especially with the star charts you can buy on illium.

I zoom in on every planet, but I only scan the ones that are Rich or Good (unless I think there's Element Zero: if the description of the planet has "element zero" or describes it in any was a "garden world", it probably has eezo). Zooming in is close enough for EDI to tell you if there's an anomaly, and yes, there are some anomalies not tied to missions you know about.

Simply more rocks and resources. There's a list of Assignments (N7 missions) which some you can only get via scanning, a list of which you can find here [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Assignments#N7], but except for those, it's all just resources.

You really want to do the assignments though, some of them like the Quarian Crash Site, the Blue Suns series or the Berserk Mech series are quite good.

Also if you don't go to Hourglass Nebula, Ploitari System, Planet Zanethu (Don't look it up, it'll ruin it. No. Seriously.) you're missing out.

Hell I sent a probe to every planet

1 -> Poor
up to 5 -> Moderate
up to 10 -> Good
up to 15 -> Rich
Until depleted on Element Zero planets

Zoomed in on all, to get all the optional missions, but generally only scanned good and rich. Usually probed them until depleted, though, which for some planets required trips to fuel depots (until the probe upgrade, that is).

In the end, I lacked cash for two upgrades, and I still wonder if it's the fault of all those refuels and probe restocking or if there are just less credits in the world than upgrades to purchase with them.

Seeing how I blew some money on souvenirs (how could I NOT get the space hamster?) and did not get everything on two of the missions, maybe there are exactly enough credits for all the upgrades, assuming a very careful fuel/probe usage.

Pretty much exactly this.

Once I had researched all of the upgrades I needed/ wanted, I didnt bother probing for resources, I just visited all my unexplored planets to find anomalies. When I was scanning for resources, I only really went for the Good and Rich planets.

I only scan when I need resources for something.

However, I do visit every planet eventually to make sure I don't miss any Assignments. However, no point in scanning them, just enter orbit and see if there's a "Anomaly Detected" message from EDI. If not, move on.

my next play through I'll make sure I scan everything at least once, especially since it doesn't take that many res to get all the research you want

I was going to scan all of them, and did up until I was about 75% of the way throguh the game. Then I just got bored with it and got on with the rest of the game. Its hard to believe that Bioware made so much of the game better than the first one and then replaced the Mako with an even worse gameplay element.

It came with a price though.

There is a way to prevent that, just make sure you've done everyting you wana do before you do the Reaper IFF mission.
