ME3: Is it possible to get minimum Military Strength without DLC from previous games?

Okay, I got Mass Effects both 1 and 2 and I'm saving up to get ME3, I know about the War Assets system, but since I can't get Xbox Live, I want to know if it's possible to get enough War Assets to gain all endings without either using multiplayer or DLC packs (as well as optionally, if possible, going as a through-and-through Paragon Shepard start to finish.)

What are my chances that I can get all possible ME3 endings going that route and without the DLC from the first 2 Mass Effects or playing the Multiplayer on the 3rd game?

Multiplayer is kind of vital. It decides how efficient your war assets are in terms of percentage.
But in terms of DLC, I was about 2000 over what's needed for the "best" ending with the DLC. You should be fine.

It is possible to get all endings without multiplayer, but for the very best of each ending.. no. You can get about 34-3700 EMS without multiplayer on, with Paragon being a bit lower than Renegade due to certain Genophage decisions.

To get 4-5000 EMS, you have to do multiplayer, unfortunately. Bioware wasn't honest out of the gate.

That's not true though. I got enough for every possible ending just by singleplayer. It isn't easy, but it's possible.

It's possible, and actually fairly easy, to get enough EMS for every ending with the sole exception of the "last breath" scene - which only applies to one ending anyway. Outside that really short (i.e. a few seconds) clip, no ending requires EMS above 2850.

I meant the "breath" scene you get from Destroy ending, the clip you need over 5000 EMS to get. That is my definition of the "very best" ending, considering I'm very much a Destroy ending fan.

That was what I referring to, yes. My fault for not specifically pointing out what the EMS was for besides "the very best ending(s)".

If you mean 4,000 EMS or higher, no. The most you can get is 3717.5 or something like that.
Captcha: runny nose. Funny, I have one right now.

You can absolutely get more than enough to get the "very best" ending without and DLC and without playing any multiplayer. As long as you have an imported save that is. I had over 6500 when I did my first playthrough and I know I could have gotten more.

Not that it really matters. The only difference your EMS makes is what cutscenes you get, such as which fleets, how well they do, and how much damage the Earth takes.

No, you can not get the "breath" ending with just single player. The silver lining is it will probably only take you two or three matches in multiplayer to put you over the top once you get to that point.
