By clip are you referring to the Picard Song [http://www.last.fm/music/DarkMateria/_/The+Picard+Song] where 4 lights is featured? Now Next Generations to me, was what Andy Griffian or any other show you get the family together to watch. Most came about during my family's divorce. Even still we would all come together to watch it. So I have seen a bit more of Next Generations. Things like, there are 4 lights, I can say and my dad gets the meaning right off the bat. Almost a secret language. Now Next Generations was something I love then and now. Star Trek is one I couldn't enjoy until they started to rerun the episodes. This was later in life when I would sometimes be watching it with my dad, while we drinking alcohol and eating chicken. Much I couldn't appreciate of Star Trek till later in life, that is because these are two different people. Kirk being the man who I believe is more innately talent, while Picard had to earn his rank. This allow for much different style of writing for each character. Kirk it was easier to tell the big ideas, while with Picard it was easier to tell more relatable ideas.
Weapon of Choice [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZLidy7pIQ8] might be the song you are talking about. I just remember sounding what you are talking about with Walken walking about.Always stands out because he starts and ends like an ordinary person.
I do enjoy the show, but it is more of how it appears a conversation. Feels like a group of friends together hanging about, even though it is more of an interview. Always make it an enjoyable to listen and listen again to. I started with the Movie Bob episode, cause who doesn't like Movie Bob. Enjoyed it, and continue listening to that. Thought episode 23 always bring me down, but that is cause I feel like I upset you without meaning to.
On regards to future guest Grey Carter and Cory Rydell of the Escapist team would be good, along with other web comics might be a good idea. Michael "Pun Master" Alonso of http://www.pixel-pandemonium.com/ is one that is easy to get in contact. He does lot of good small stuff like his Film Noir Lol Cat [http://www.pixel-pandemonium.com/?p=665] story arch and Sweet Tooth [http://www.pixel-pandemonium.com/?p=985] story arch which has no words. Has actually gotten published in a spanish magazine. Randal Milholland of http://www.somethingpositive.net/ is always looking of ways to promote his comic and talk without leaving his house. Dan Shive of http://egscomics.com/ loves doing podcasts much like Little Kuriboh of http://www.yugiohabridged.com/ . Little Kuriboh might be busy at the moment with Cards for Charity. Holly Conrad who is well known for her Commander Shepard and was featured in Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope. Lives on connections so be up for it. http://crabcatindustries.com/ getting its profits from connections. Her facebook is https://www.facebook.com/HollyConrad and her Twitter is https://twitter.com/HollyConrad which should be ways of getting in contact with her.
Pun Master is the only one I have had exchange with emails and such. So could forward any information if you are interested in having on the show. Though keep in mind he lives in Spain.
Just noticed this, but the badge people have in common in the thread is sci fi related. Red Dwarf being the one that seems to have the most in common.
