Hopefully no-one will replace her, honestly I could handle the military parts of the first movie, and the little bits they had in the second, but the kids and their families? ugg. I want giant robots kicking the crap out of each other, not listening to some dumb twit babble on.

Maybe now she can find a decent film that shows she can act without having shoving her ass or boobs at the screen every 10 minutes. I actually think the first Transformers was great, but the second one just made blood leak outta my ears. Michael Bay can do better than that.

He he he he, NO HE CAN'T
...Am I the only one who likes what Michael Bay does?
You most certainly are not. Bad Boys I & II, The Rock and The Island were all very entertaining movies. Yeah, sure, you don't go to Bay if you want something deep, but the guy is good at what he does. And yes, the Transformers movies could have been better, but I can still watch them and enjoy myself (I just fast-forward over the cringeworthy parts), and considering that Bay didn't want to do them in the first place I guess they turned out alright.
Agreed, going to Michael Bay movies for depth is like using David Caruso one-liners to sound clever. But DAMN his action scenes are awesome.

On-topic: I think Megan Fox quitting'll be a good thing. It'll drive the whole movie focus back to the frigging robots.

So, one pair of boobs is gone... not that anyone really remembers (or wants to) but there were plenty more to choose from in ROTF. So, don't celebrate just yet.

Besides, there's still plenty more shit to be redeemed. The main actress leaving and the main actor admitting to coming across as a douche (hey, at least he admits it) are the least of our concerns when bad scriptwork and cinematography are the real fundamental problems. And then there's the "humour".

So basically, my thoughts are, "Megan Fox left? So what?"

Are you actually implying that close up shaky cameras make for a better action scene? Not only does it do fuck all to engage the viewer into the scene (It mostly just makes the damn thing hard to watch), it's nauseating as all fuck.

OT: Until the entire project is scrapped and picked up by someone who actually knows what he fuck he's doing this upcoming movie will be shit.

Well, they're going to be better now. But still mostly crap, until they get rid of the human drama. And BAY-SPLOSIONS!

And did anyone here actually remember her character's name from the movies?
and slowmo... and any other stupid gimmicks... oh don't forget useless characters who don't mean anything or characters that disappear half way through, or characters who appear in two places at once. Transformers with powers they never had just so they look cool.. not to mention random scenes that have only partway something do to with whats going on when they are shoved in the middle of another scene... plus a million other things... I enjoyed Trannies 2 but god damn it was a shit movie.

Perhaps this is the early signal of the end times for the series? I really, really hope so. Those two films were some of the most bland, dull and unimaginative films I've ever seen.
I've been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to associate your description of those movies with your enjoyment of Avatar, but I can't.
My jerk powers failed me again.
Well, I can see the similarities, but when I went to see Avatar, I sat through 3 hours of lush forests, beautiful vistas, and calming tribal music. When I went to see Transformers 2, I sat through nearly 3 hours almost totally comprised of grinding metal and endless shots of Megan Fox's arse and tits. Not my idea of a good time.
You got that a bit wrong Furb. I can't compare Transformers 2 to Avatar since I haven't seen Transformers 2 (while I genuinely like Bay, just didn't interest me).
It's just that you called those movies "bland, dull and unimaginative" and that's basically my review of Avatar.
So, in other words, I'm just being a nitpicky jerk (and I love it, btw).

None of those words are accurate to describe Trannies 2, the movie was shit, but it was imaginative, exciting, and colourful.

Yes, I happen to really like that kind of camera movement. Probably the reason why I like movies like Cloverfield even though almost everybody else got a headache from it.

OT: I wonder how they're going to explain Mikaela disappearing from Transformers 3.

Jerk powers, activate!
Sadly, mine start to fade and fail me quite often.

Well, that's quite a contradiction, don't you think? I have never heard of "exciting shit".

Good move for her, bad move for the movies. Like her or not, the way they were actually coming out during the promotion of Revenge of the Fallen and basically saying that she was just there to show some T&A and get little boys excited was frankly quite an insult (even if it was the truth for the most part). Should be interesting to see what they do with the character in the next one.. probably more interesting than the actual movie itself.

She didn't quit, she was dropped due to her comments about Bay last year.

Though quite frankly, she's be doing porn now if it weren't for him picking her up.

He's still the devil though.

I don't watch these movies, so I don't care.
I had to laugh at just how redundant and pointless that comment was :D
You don't see the irony of your post (or mine for that matter) AHHHH cyclic pointlessness!

I don't think people should hold out for a reboot. I don't see how the franchise can ever be more than a mindless blockbuster. The new videogame set on cybertron during the war sounds much more promising to me (its cartoon canon so it will look cool at least)

As for comparing Avatar to Transformers I don't see how you can make that comparison really, Thematically, stylistically or 3difically they are totally different movies. It just sounds like you don't like big budget effects driven movies.

Thank goodness, maybe the next transformers will seem a bit less exploitative and Megan Fox can build a stable career (And maybe my ass can start a one man jazz ensemble).
Huzzah for asses starting one man jazz ensembles ^_^. When your ass gets famous and has live performances can i get a front row seat........wow that sounded worse than i thought O_O.

"Erm...she died! Yes, thats it, she died!"
"Actually...I don't think we ever knew a girl called Mikaela...um yup, pretty sure we never met anyone called that...I mean, I'm sure we're remember..."
