Metal Gear Motorcycle Revealed At London Comic-Con

"I'm looking for a vehicle, I'm looking for a ride. I'm looking for the treason that I knew in sixty-five."

At the MCM London Comic-Con event last week, motorcycle manufacturer Triumph revealed a one-off custom bike based on the modified Bonneville T100 Snake/Big Boss will drive in the upcoming game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Designated as the "Venom Triumph Bonneville VTB.1," the one-of-a-kind bike features off-road capable Continental TKC80 tires and an ammo rack on the back. Its saddle is a trimmed down version of the one typically found on the T100, refinished in neoprene and carbon Kevlar as a nod to Snake's sneaking suit. What it doesn't feature are helpful items like mirrors, a speedometer, or a rev counter, which would probably make it unsuitable for everyday commuter use.

Prior to its unveiling, the bike was contained in a cardboard box bearing the classic markings found on boxes throughout the Metal Gear Solid franchise and the insignia of the Diamond Dogs, the 1980's mercenary organization established by Big Boss in The Phantom Pain (also the title of a David Bowie album based on George Orwell's novel 1984, the same year Phantom Pain takes place in; Kojima's pop culture connections remain strong as ever)

Is that suppose to represent something specific from the game?
Because it just looks like they got a bog standard bike, splashed some paint on it, a couple decals and called it a day.
Sure that is what I would do, but I also wouldn't brag about my lazy ass work.

THat's a nice looking bike, but kind of curious as a choice. I knew a guy who's 6ft 4, who owned a Triumph Tiger (lovely bike), and he was still only just about able to touch the floor on it. I don't know if it was just that model that was that large or all Triumphs are like that, but if they are, Snake wouldn't actually be able to ride one, as he's only 5ft 11 :p

I think snake chose the model mostly out of reverence for eva as she drove one herself.
