*Shrugs* alot of the bosses just seem like Quake aliens, and the combat feels similair also. Not that there was anything wrong with quake three - it was a great game. Im just pointing out something...
Perhaps referencing the original or Quake 2 would have been less perplexing for me. Quake 3 was an arena game and largely the cause of my confusion. Although, to be fair, combat in many first person shooters feels similar.

I loved the Prime series for what it was (though still aggravated at some of it's shortcomings.) Not to mention the games were absolutely gorgeous.

Cosndiering that I have all 3 games in my home, I can't see the justification for buying this.

I'm getting sick of Wii motion controls. Constantly holding up the gun to the screen and messing around with the motion bar to ensure proper movement detection is annoying.
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

No, seriously, there are old Japanese ladies who probably have an easier time playing Metroid than you do. You should feel ashamed, man.

Maybe if they actually add substantial content to the game I would consider buying it. It's the same problem I had with Pikmin Wii. I love Pikmin, but I already own the damn game and the requirements to play it are not a hassle at all. I bought Super Mario 64 on the virtual console because I didn't want to dig through a tangle of wires to connect my N64 to the TV. With Pikmin (and the Metroid Prime games), I can just pop the disk in.
Obviously it's not for you, then. It's for people who don't own the games. Three amazing games for the price of one, with highly-improved controls and better visuals. Fans are going to eat this up, as are people who already planned on buying Metroid Prime 3 but didn't buy it yet.

I don't have a giant TV for my Wii. So there is little room for the motion bar, and positioning it properly can be a hassle. Part of this is due to the fact that for some games on position is fine, but the it doesn't work for others. This is my own problem becuase this wouldn't be an issue if I had more space for the Wii, but sadly I don't.

Also I understand that I'm not the target audience as I already have 3 games. I'm just getting frustrated because there are few games I actually enjoy on the Wii and I want to get some use out of the console. I thought that if they added enough content to the games it would persuade me to buy them again, but it doesn't look like they did.

Also I wouldn't consider motion controls to be highly improved over normal controls. I honestly preferred normal controllers in the old games to the Wii mote in Prime 3, though that is just my opinion. Also I don't think we can say the game has highly improved visuals until we actually see it.

Meh. It's good if they're not selling the originals anymore, what with them wanting to bury the Gamecube in the Wii's shadow. I just hope the Wiimote option is, well, "optional".

The Prime games were pretty fun without the wiimote. they might be fun with them, but I hope it isn't mandatory.

Now here's a question. If Bungie released the Halo trilogy as one game, would people criticize it or praise it?

Nice. For some reason I never completed metroid prime, lost it and have been unable to find it again. This is good news for me.

Plus, if it wasn't for the graphics engine, FPS would be the perfect genre for the Wii. It would be good to see some more of them, apart from Conduit and Metroid Prime 3.

I don't understand the space issue. As long as you are AT LEAST three feet away from your TV (which you should be anyway) and your TV is at least 9" (yes, that's right, n-i-n-e), you can put the sensor bar on top of the TV and it should work perfectly.

Also I understand that I'm not the target audience as I already have 3 games. I can obviously sympathize with you, as the only thing that really interests me as far as Wii gaming goes is the virtual console. However, Nintendo has a section solely dedicated to things like this, I'm sure, so it's not like this package is going to make LESS games come out. At worst, this announcement should be unimportant to you, but it's definitely good news. Nintendo re-releasing GameCube games is great for those of who never owned one. There are more GameCube games I want to play than Wii games, so keep 'em coming, Nintendo.

Baiten Kaitos and Wind Waker plz.

The controls are improved if you set up the console right and the Wii Remote responds perfectly. I mean, I don't even think it's open to discussion or anywhere near the realm of opinion. You can rest your hands on your lap, move the controller only slightly, and still have the pinpoint precision that only a mouse can provide. As far as FPSs goes, the motion sensitivity is the way to go. It's not ideal for every situation (I'm glad I can use the GameCube controller for Smash Bros.), but it is simply impossibleto get the kind of precision and speed for FPSs you get from the Wii Remote.

As far as the visuals go, read what I said again. I said they're improved visuals. Don't put words in my mouth. The old games are being reformatted to widescreen, thus they are improved.

If they released it for the PC with an updated patch. Yes. I would buy it. But if they released it for the 360. People wouldn't really care. They already have halo 3. And unless they add some acheivements it's kinda worthless. That's my 2 cents.

This seems exactly like what they did with Resident Evil 4. If you want to buy it, then buy it. If you already have the game, but do own a Wii. Then it's up to you.

I'd definately get it.

...Though, do you think they'll remove that Friend Token bullshit from in Prime 3?

Agreed, and we can only hope. It's doubtful though; thinking about it it'd make more sense if they kept it just for compatibility between Prime 3 and Prime 3 (Trilogy edition).

I'm definitely interested in this.

I've only played a tiny bit of Metroid Prime 1, never played Metroid Prime 2, and I'm currently only halfway through Metroid Prime 3.

Assuming I finish MP 3 (even then, I'd still have to hunt for all the optional stuff), I'd basically be getting 2 great games for the price of 1, which is fine with me, especially with the Wii control being added (I remember playing the first one on GCN - it was okay, but after playing MP3, I don't want to go back to GCN controls).

The other features are neat too, and unlockables for these kinds of games are awesome - especially substantial ones like music and art.

People always complain about these "remakes" or re-releases", but for their target audience (which happens to be a rather large number of people), these kinds of things rock. As someone who never owned a GCN, only played it a few times, I await this, among with Capcom's Resident Evil re-releases.

For those of you who aren't convinced...

"The multiplayer mode in Metroid Prime 2 wasn't all that special on the GameCube, mostly due to the lock-on controls making it feel like a very rigid deathmatch experience. On the Wii, however, this four player splitscreen mode really opens up, and in our short hands-on we had an absolute blast trying to see who the best Samus is. It's a shame this mode isn't available online, but we certainly can understand why it's remained a single system, split-screen mode."

well I've had the game a while now and it's taken me at least 20 HOURS of time to finish each game, but that was my 1st playthroughs of all 3 games, now it's not as hard or time consuming
