I don't have a giant TV for my Wii. So there is little room for the motion bar, and positioning it properly can be a hassle. Part of this is due to the fact that for some games on position is fine, but the it doesn't work for others. This is my own problem becuase this wouldn't be an issue if I had more space for the Wii, but sadly I don't.
I don't understand the space issue. As long as you are AT LEAST three feet away from your TV (which you should be anyway) and your TV is at least 9" (yes, that's right, n-i-n-e), you can put the sensor bar on top of the TV and it should work perfectly.
Also I understand that I'm not the target audience as I already have 3 games. I'm just getting frustrated because there are few games I actually enjoy on the Wii and I want to get some use out of the console. I thought that if they added enough content to the games it would persuade me to buy them again, but it doesn't look like they did.
I can obviously sympathize with you, as the only thing that really interests me as far as Wii gaming goes is the virtual console. However, Nintendo has a section solely dedicated to things like this, I'm sure, so it's not like this package is going to make LESS games come out. At worst, this announcement should be unimportant to you, but it's definitely good news. Nintendo re-releasing GameCube games is great for those of who never owned one. There are more GameCube games I want to play than Wii games, so keep 'em coming, Nintendo.
Baiten Kaitos and Wind Waker plz.
Also I wouldn't consider motion controls to be highly improved over normal controls. I honestly preferred normal controllers in the old games to the Wii mote in Prime 3, though that is just my opinion. Also I don't think we can say the game has highly improved visuals until we actually see it.
The controls are improved if you set up the console right and the Wii Remote responds perfectly. I mean, I don't even think it's open to discussion or anywhere near the realm of opinion. You can rest your hands on your lap, move the controller only slightly, and still have the pinpoint precision that only a mouse can provide. As far as FPSs goes, the motion sensitivity is the way to go. It's not ideal for every situation (I'm glad I can use the GameCube controller for Smash Bros.), but it is simply
impossibleto get the kind of precision and speed for FPSs you get from the Wii Remote.
As far as the visuals go, read what I said again. I said they're improved visuals. Don't put words in my mouth. The old games are being reformatted to widescreen, thus they are improved.
