Achievement point are pointless (pun) precisely because of banal shit like this. I mean if you are awarded points just for using the damn thing like adjusting the theme that makes points virtually meaningless and superficial.

It's not like seeing someone play Resident Evil 2 with the rocket launcher, you realise "wow, that weapon is only unlocked if you complete the game in record time with minimum health lost, you've got skillz"

But a high Gamerscore just means you are a sad obsessive stooge who likely just did hundreds of menial easy things to boost the score.

I hate to say this but this is where PS3's trophies have the advantage, gold trophies are only earned for completing REAL challenges rather than mindless busywork or pure chance.

But ideally I wish we could go back to the good old days, before pointless tokens came along, where it was standard to get REALLY USEFUL items, costumes and un-lockable for completing challenges. Rather than collecting the final cog-tag and getting nothing but a "plink" and a sign coming up saying basically:

"CONGRATULATIONS, you wasted your time collecting menial items, your prize is... nothing!"

The Work-reward system of games is COMPLETELY BROKEN with both achievements and trophies.

I was gonna check it out minus the achievements, but I will not buy solely for the cheivo's if I buy it will be because I want it.

I'm so much of an achievement whore that I would pay for them, that's just silly.

You know, if you glance at that robot in the left side of the picture very quickly, it sort of looks like a Protectron from the Fallout games.
