Get rid of GfWL.

THAT'S ALL WE FUCKING WANT FROM YOU!

(And a proper fucking DirectX update, instead of one that can be mimicked by editing configs in the previous iteration.)
You mean DirectX 11?

LOL.

Oh my dead comedians from The Escapist, how I love thee. Your hilarious posts makes my days com... what? That was real? WTF?

I really hope that was a joke, MS. If GFWL is the best you can do, you can bugger off on your X360 and just leave PC gaming to Steam and third parties.

Actions speak louder than words, Microsoft. All I've seen from you is the promise of Fable 3 on the PC. The key word here being "promise". I haven't seen Halo: Reach, Fable 2, Gears 2 or any of your other precious exclusives getting ported over. So until I see some results I stick to my stance regarding your games division and GFWL, which is "Screw you!"

I seem to recall M$ stating that Mass Effect was Xbox only and that nobody plays FPS's on PCs anymore.

There is one possibility though, perhaps they're going into casual games?

bring halo 3, odst, and reach to pc and I will believe that they are serious.

Until then, I still believe they don't care about pc at all.

The only way GFW could ever compete with Steam is if Microsoft actually became nicer to it's customers than Valve.

Valve has given us two free games in the last 6 months, Microsoft, what are you prepared to offer?

Ugh another day another microsoft announcement about pc gaming they really must see as a bunch of muppets with short attention spans.

They catching the politicians disease of saying a thing and doing a thing are the same.

They can keep saying they're saving PC as much as they like, they're just words. Hollow, empty, truthless words. It's going to take something big for Microsoft to legitimately claim it's been working on this. Similar to the Duke Nukem Forever situation I suppose.

Am I the only one that would be happier if they just released ports to Steam?

Or a virtual Xbox original would be great, considering all the games I've accumulated are unusable until a viable emulator picks up. There'd be piracy for sure, but they could squeeze more sales out of the old games and manage to almost keep an old promise.

Dear Microsoft: Shut the fuck up. I'm sick and goddamn tired of your hypocritical reps talking about PC gaming and switching from "It's Dead" to "HEY IT'S A MONEY PIT!" at the drop of a hat.

You wanna be serious? Alright. Try and match everything that you want to do up to what Valve has done with Steam. Valve's been giving us games at damn near stealing prices. What are you going to offer? Are you prepared to bring back your back catalog of games on the 360 from Gears of War 2 up to Halo 3 at cheaper prices with enhanced graphics and enhanced online modes and capabilities?

Or you know what else you can do? Take GFWL, throw it in a fucking bin, and shut the stupid fuck up about PC gaming when you are clearly prepared for absolutely dick-all to do anything about it. In other words, die in a fire.

Like hell they are. Microsoft isn't even trying to take advantage of the changing PC games market. Sitting on one's behind, picking their nose and talking shit does not constitute backing a platform.
I'd just like to take this oppotunity to point out how well your avatar reflects the mood towards this statement.

Towards Microsoft:

Amusingly enough, Microsoft is quite possibly in last place, as far as companies that Lead the Way, in PC Gaming. Eastern Europe seems to have the market cornered, from where I'm sitting (Stalker/Arma 2).
I live in Bulgaria (eastern Europe) and you are right.
NOBODY games on consoles. Everybody is PC only.
Now if we can stop pirating, we , along with the rest of the PC gaming world) will be enough to KILL both the Xbox and PS3 combined and maybe be almost like nintendos shity Wii
All the best PC games seem to be from Eastern Europe.

I am now incapable of thinking the words "hunter" or "stalker" without a slight accent.

OP: Microsoft claims it's returning to PC gaming again. Sun rises. Skies blue. Kotick still a dick.

"We are putting some real investment and big IPs behind the Windows platform. We've spoken of the first three, Microsoft Flight [http://www.amazon.com/Fable-III-Pc/dp/B002I0KO8I/ref=sr_1_3?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285687818&sr=8-3]," he continued. "However we are not going to stop there."
And Micro$oft spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy IPs. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then shall thou loadest thy Blue Screen of Death into thine monitor, which, being without DRM, shall snuff it."

It makes more sense if you Pythonise all their quotes.
