Haha, knew it wouldn't, I mean a lot of CoD's fan base are casual gamers who don't care about the PC's problems as they're console gamers.

As for me, I just brought it for my PS3

Well played good sir, well played. This got me to chuckle.

I mean sure that whole escapade sucked, but they have every right to do what they want with the game on a legal and moral standpoint. I have no qualms with them.

Which is unfair as it was the PC GAMERS who made cod what it is  this is what a lot of the anger stems from.

Ooh, sixty dollars of that 550,000,000 was mine! I believe Activision owes me one thank you note.

And maybe a high-five from an employee.

It was always going to be a huge success anyway. It's Call of Duty. I'm just content in the knowledge that I personally did not contribute to that success. Screw you Activision, I've got better games to spend my money on.

Thanks again for yet another post about this!

You've really added a much needed thread to this topic, and helped prove your fanaticism for every game IW develops.

I will be shipping you 1 internet soon as UPS can figure out how to ship it.

oh --- and on a serious note, what did you really expect? PC gaming makes up a small fraction of sales nowadays with so many console owners salivating over this title it's really no surprise at all. also the blog-post has nothing about the breakdown across platforms. Now that would be telling information.

How was the PC boycott suppose to work?
Zero PC version sales of MW2 forcing IW to either rerelease the game with dedicated servers or not release any future games on PC? Neither of those things were gonna happen... but everyone in the gaming world is definately aware of the issue. Can't expect much more really.

Boycotting never works on something like this, because the boycotters are heavily outnumbered by the people actually interested in the game.

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS!

In truth, the whole boycott just came across as the consumer equivalent of a temper tantrum, but then a lot of those are thrown by fanbases of big name games so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

Personally i think its a stupid boycott anyway. Can't they just appreciate the epicness of the game as it is anyway? Does it really need to do all the things the first one did not to be "boycotted" (i use the word loosely).

This is pretty much it.

Shouldn't people judge the boycott's success or lack thereof based on the sales on the PC platform compared to Call of Duty 4? Doesn't making threads like this which serve to mock the boycott whilst linking to total overall sales make the people creating such threads complete morons?

At this point, anyone who is boycotting MW2 (Pirates don't count. You guys are still playing the game; so not only are you not boycotting the game, you are also theiving little douchebags) is really just doing it for themselves.

I'll probably get it eventually, but I am NOT paying full price for it.

Nice burn. Extra points for being totally correct.
