Yes soap is your captain and yes that level is semi-linear
And there is a finite amount of enemys this time, so stealth may work
Concerning the trailer, im in two minds... cod4 was good because it a) lacked too many americans b)was more belevable than most games while maintaining specticle (that says more about most games than cod) and c) had the best shooter gameplay of any game ...ever.
The new one look too american, over the top and ...american.
But then...its cod we're talking about

To me the game looks pretty damn good, I'm not too sure about the whole vehicles bit, it probably won't be so bad in the campaign, but vehicles in online was a major bad point for me in Cod5 and I hope they don't make the same mistake and put them in again.
I'm interested to see how they're going to outdo CoD4 because that was a pretty flawless game to me, with the odd bad point but they were all online issues. The end of the trailer looks amazing though.

If IW can beat CoD4 I'll be amazed, then again for the price it should beat every war game in existance -.-'

It's already been said. Ya play as Marines, ya don't play as SAS, nor as SEALS. Just as the American Marines. It will feature the character you played from CoD4, but they British side won't be playble.

It's ok, I didn't know about the two companies juggling the series until last year.

Yep, it's Treyarch who brought the series back to the damn world wars. One could only hope they step down after Modern Warfare 2.

No, Soap will appear as a simple character, he won't even be playble. Now he bassicly will have the role of the dead Captain Price. While the player, takes the role of some Marine character, like it happend in CoD4.

That's probably one of the main reasons they dropped the title and are now calling it 'Modern Warfare 2'.

God, I hate it when I hear the enemy scream for their lives before you're about to kill them! It makes my stomach flip slightly. Like they're just screaming "Oh god no!" right before you knife them in the neck or going "By god don't shoot!" and you kill them anyway.

Since Kanashe is just talking out his ass I feel the need to correct a few things.

1. The mohawked gentleman is most likely Soap. Slowing the trailer will reveal a Union Jack patch on his back and the words S.A.S across the front of his vest.

2. You play as part of a Rainbow Six style task force charged with bringing down Makarov, the new big bad.

3. That's not Spetsnaz in the trailer. It's the FSB or Federal Security Service of Russia.

4. Also seen in the trailer are another NPC with a U.S. patch, a man with a skull mask, and another unidentified man wearing shooting glasses.
