Or are you one of those "Its popular, so I hate it" kind of people.
The only difference between snipers is the fire rate? I honestly have no idea where you got that from. Go shoot a M40 then a Baretta .50 Cal and there is a huge difference between them. Plus there's like 30 different guns in the game, so why would you say that the weapons lacked variety?D_987 said:I never said the WaW ranking system was ideal...?Jsnoopy said:Wait wasn't the CoD:WaW ranking exactly the same, except longer?
Not really, the problem with CoD is the lack of variety in the weapons, the only difference between the snipers were the firing rates. They were all to similar in my experience. And really, the weapons weren't OP at higher levels. Look at the Snipers for instance, since they are the only ones I can all remember. You get the most accurate sniper in the beginning, the fastest sniper in the beginning/middle ( which is in my opinion, the best), a sort of combo of the first two snipers at the middle/higher levels, and a powerful sniper at the last couple of levels, but it isn't very accurate and has a huge kickback. So from my perspective this seems really balanced.
Something it shouldn't be, I'm claiming I don't like the prestige system, and you've just tried to tell me what its there for; I know why its there I'm expressing my contempt for it.Finally, the whole point of prestige is just that: a little bit of recognition for how much time you've put into the game. Nothing more, nothing less.
I played through the PC version 100% fine with no patches installed. And the single player campaign was not bad, given it was not brilliant, it was still above average.Halfbreed13 said:Ugh, I jsut had this conversation with another guy on a different thread. Long sotry short, it was a bad game, let alone a bad CoD game. I was an obvious cash in on IW's success. Treyarch fucked up HC mode, co-op, single player, multiplayer, and pretty much the whole game. Hell, it took 3 patches just to be playable for most people. I could go into detail, but I would prefer not to repeat myself unlesss you absolutely need me to.
I don't care about the cover lol. I just want my Soap ^.^Ezzay said:I played through the PC version 100% fine with no patches installed. Ill leave it there, neither of us wants to have a ***** fight over the internet im pretty sure, just wanted to know what you didn't like about it so much :S
Oh and on topic, the box art does look like crap with the CoD logo stuck on there.
Allow me to introduce you to the human, or homo sapiens: A fledgling, backwards creature, that is remarkable for it's extraordinarily short attention span, and lack of attention to detail.Clashero said:Have you played Call of Duty 4? Well, pretty much the exact same gameplay will be in MW2.D_987 said:I assume this is due to that public poll that displayed negative results regarding the publics awareness that Modern Warfare 2 was a sequel to COD4. This was a clever money-making move on Activition's part, and although I fully dislike the box art, I'm glad they've finally decided on a name...
Now if only they'd give us some more details regarding the actual gameplay...
On topic, how BLOODY STUPID can people get? Consumer awareness of one of the biggest releases dropped when they dropped the CoD name? You need a special kind of idiot for that sort of thing to happen.
HAH! That sounds something out of a Monty Python sketch, if I buy this game I'll make it happen!Keane Ng said:So is it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or just Modern Warfare 2? Maybe we should just whisper the Call of Duty part but shout out and put special stress on the Modern Warfare 2 part when we're saying the game of the game out loud. "Excuse me, sir, I'd like to buy callofduty MODERN WARFARE 2 please," you'll say at GameStop later this year.
You're gonna get some trouble when they actually do start numbering the games again.Salem_Wolf said:Technically, no. But most of the people I know call it that, and that's what we're still calling it.Keenanr1234 said:callofduty MODERN WARFARE 2 isnt COD 6, neither was COD World At War COD 5.Salem_Wolf said:It's still COD6, I don't care if they call it War in Present: Honor of Duty...my friends and I will still call if COD6, just like World at War was COD5. Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I don't care, it's just another FPS game, unfortunately I'll be picking it up because it's all my friends will be playing when it comes out.
No, offically they aren't. But I bet 90% of people call WaW CoD5. I'll be calling MW2 CoD6 no matter how much the swing between names. It justs comes easier off the tongue.Keenanr1234 said:callofduty MODERN WARFARE 2 isnt COD 6, neither was COD World At War COD 5.
