HAHA YES! Good job, pirates, I wish everyone in the world pirated the game instead of buying it, that'll teach Infinity Ward for being so FUCKING arrogant.
your assuming that each pirate would have = a saleBehattedWanderer said:Hehehe...Man, that is a whomp of cash that Infinity Ward didn't get for those 4.1M copies. 245,959,000 in bills, by my calculations, but that's assuming a 59.99USD price on each copy, so it's gonna be more than that, not to mention that that's only the PC version. *Whistles* Hell, with that many players on pirated games, they could come up with their own damn server system.
irrelevant in regard to MW2 they stripped out any reason to have a PC version before it was releasedRatRace123 said:And PC players still wonder why many developers are moving to consoles, those damn pirates are ruining it for the rest of you, yes I know console pirates exist too, but the PC makes it way easier to pirate. Not that any of this matters to me, I didn't play MW2, nor do I plan to, illegally or otherwise.
yup but remember they also upped the price which again is something they done to screw people overscotth266 said:"Piracy as protest" is a garbage concept invented by those who wish to appear noble while breaking the law, because all pirating a game tells the publisher is that you're too cheap or don't have the money to make an actual purchase. NOT pirating the game, hell, not PLAYING the game at all is a better measure of protest.
How exactly were they arrogant? Because they wanted to make their game a certain way?Thibaut said:HAHA YES! Good job, pirates, I wish everyone in the world pirated the game instead of buying it, that'll teach Infinity Ward for being so FUCKING arrogant.
I don't. I mean how does stealing or pirating something make is justifiable? If a person has to steal food to feed their starving family I consider it justifiable because it is a need to survive. If a person steals something that is not needed to help them or their family survive I cannot see how it is a justifiable act.Actually, in this specific case, I'd argue it does.
I fail to see what you're getting at. Yes, I am happy they lost out that much money because they spared the UK price hike. I neither brought nor pirated the game as I chose to stay well away from it.gof22 said:You are happy people pirated the game? That still means people pirated it and liked it which means they could support IW in the future by paying for their products. If your going to be happy for them not receiving money support the people who did not pirate the game and did not purchase the game.olikunmissile said:Good. I'm glad they lost out that much money.
I liked what the Arkham Asylum designers did to the people who pirated Arkham Asylum. Than again IW pry knew their game was going to be pirated yet also knew that they would most likely make big money on the game as well which shows they don't care all that much about the money lost.
