No Peter, it's because nobody wanted to buy To Catch a Predator: The Game. It was creepy and you tried to hard.

But why all the hate people ? Peter Molyneux makes awesome games and the industry would be a lot worse if we were to lose him, so why all the hate?
Because he makes average games while promising amazing and revolutionary games.

I think his games are awesome especially the older titles . but even so that?s not a reason to hate on him , the industry is full of evil executives and companies so let?s focus on them instead of people who are actually passionate about their job
Yeah true but if look at this thread, calling it hate is overeating. I think people is just annoyed by Peter Molyneux.

Is it sad this game idea failed? I don't know. Personaly I don't want to play Dead Eyes the game. Also he'd probably get annoying, like that one young cousin who always has things they want to show you. So the attachment idea would fail to deliver, but it wouldn't BE a Peter Molyneux game if it actually delivered on it's most interesting feature.

The general idea--having a computer-controlled person who can have conversations and such--is neat, but this project in particular had two obvious flaws. Firstly, it's Peter Molyneux, and whenever he tries to innovate he fails spectacularly and turns out a fairly generic game, so this would probably turn into a Sims clone; secondly, of course, Milo was a kid, so everybody seemed to immediately think "pedophile". If a competent developer were to make a less creepy-looking game on the same premise, perhaps as an XBLA game rather than retail, I think it could definitely be successful.

So. Who else would probably have ended up showing Milo something really bad and then feel bad about it and delete the game and never touch it again?

Oh you will touch again...

And you will feel ashamed, turn away and promise yet again to never touch...

But you will...You will be unable to rebel against your foul nature, and you will give in -crying- as you touch, and touch, and touch, nay Grope! And you will hate yourself, knowing now what you truly are, forever fearful should people find out! They would shun you! but never as much as you shun yourself! So you will hide it, deep inside yourself, forcing yourself to forget after every touching. But you won't really forget...because your hands will never be clean, the touch lingers in your palms...and you will tell yourself it's an awful feeling, but the truth shines through your faintly smiling face, as you remember poor little quivering Milo...

...shame on you...

Well that was mildly disturbing.

Yes, Peter. It wasn't that the game was a horrible idea, it was that we just weren't ready for the awesomeness and pure genius of interacting with a dead-eyed virtual child. *rolls eyes*

I don't think the industry was ready for how terribad the Fable games have become, but that didn't stop you, eh Peter?
I wouldn't say they are terribad. Just unable to live up to the hype Peter has over anything he is involved with...

Huh, sounds like George Lucas and some of his more recent sequels....

While I'm sure Milo would have probably been Kinectimals the human version, I was mesmerized by the initial hype. Call me a fool but I'm always ready to be let down by you again Mr Molyneux. That kid was the reason I bought my kinect and it's sad to hear I'm not gonna get it.

I for one am a skeptic and believe that it was canned, not because the industry wasn't ready, but because it was a scripted demo intended to mislead people.

Molyneux said it's an emotional journey the industry was not ready for, so it was probably a collection of sport-based Kinect minigames.
